Supreme Court Blocks Citizenship Question on U.S. Census

It’s a game these play:

This can’t be happening.

I was told that the primary reason to vote for the GOP in the 2020 election is because we are going to need True Conservatives on the Supreme Court:

“WASHINGTON — Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has sat in the center seat on the Supreme Court bench since his arrival in 2005. But only this term did he assume true leadership of the court.

He made clear his influence in a pair of stunning decisions on Thursday, joining the court’s liberal wing in one and his fellow conservatives in the other. In providing the decisive votes and writing the majority opinions in cases on the census and partisan gerrymandering, he demonstrated that he has unquestionably become the court’s ideological fulcrum after the departure last year of Justice Anthony M. Kennedy.

The key parts of both decisions were decided by five-justice majorities, and the chief justice was the only member of the court in both. …

Conservatives expressed bitter frustration on Thursday about what they saw as the chief justice’s unreliability, if not betrayal.

“Chief Justice John Roberts disappointed conservatives today — to a degree not seen since he saved Obamacare in 2012 — when he sided with the court’s four liberals to second-guess the Trump administration’s reasons for adding a citizenship question to the census,” Curt Levey, the president of the Committee for Justice, a conservative activist group, said in a statement. “The census decision will surely deepen the impression that Roberts is the new Justice Kennedy, rather than the reliable fifth conservative vote that liberals feared and conservatives hoped for.”

Look, John Roberts got that puff piece in The New York Times. Who could have ever predicted this would happen after Arizona v. United States killed all the state immigration laws?

I’m stoked to see how Roberts votes on all these state abortion laws coming out of Alabama, Georgia and Missouri that are being hyped by conservatives as proof that they are “winning” the culture war. Conservatives have been milking the evangelicals for the past 40 years. If John Roberts can’t even sign off on the U.S. Census asking a basic question about American citizenship, does anyone seriously believe he is going to overturn Roe v. Wade or support anything meaningful on immigration?

Mainstream conservatism is nothing but a scam by wealthy people to get things like tax cuts and deregulation. Feel free to prove me wrong.

  1. Albeit SCOTUS is just another big anti-White scam, the question presupposes that illegals, who shouldn’t even be here, are taking the census. At this point it makes little difference. Our anti-White overlords have no intentions of sending them back.

Even a computer nerd like Jack Dorsey has more power than Donald Trump. Jack is going to censor the President of the USA, because he knows no one will stop him. The USA is done.

  3. They’re truly detestable. The entire system is corrupt from top to bottom and is now completely dedicated to subjugating and replacing the original White population of this country.

There appears to be no solution.

  4. Ideological standards for SC nominees have risen consistently since the 1960s. Kavanaugh and Gorsuch both opposed this wretched move, so this isn’t an argument against the re-election of Trump. The far better argument against the re-election of Trump is that he’s not going to be able to appoint anybody after January 2023.

  5. 2 Catholics. 3 Jews. What do you expect? Polish Roman Catholic Robert’s. I think that’s the punchline.

  6. They have allowed the Court to take way too much power for itself. We saw this creep actually rewrite part of Obamacare so he could vote for it. Outrageous. Now he says they can’t even try to find out the number of US citizens living in the country. The US is fubar.
