The destruction of the Boy Scouts of America is kind of symbolic of our terminal cultural decline since World War II.

The youth organization, which celebrated its 110th anniversary February 8, listed liabilities of between $100 million and $500 million and estimated assets of $1 billion to $10 billion.
The bankruptcy filing comes at a time when the organization faces hundreds of sexual abuse lawsuits, thousands of alleged abuse victims and dwindling membership numbers. As a result of the filing, all civil litigation against the organization is suspended.
Paul Mones, a Los Angeles-based attorney representing “hundreds of sexual abuse victims in individual lawsuits,” called the organization’s bankruptcy filing a “tragedy.” …”
The takeaway here is that you can’t have a poisonous and perverted mainstream culture and healthy traditionalist institutions.
I have covered all the “progress” the organization has made in recent years whether it was desegregating on the basis of gender or ending the ban on homosexuals or having homosexual scout leaders. The vast majority of these child abuse cases date back to before the 1990s though.

Anti-Whites have been trying to destroy the BSA for at least decades now. They took the BSA all the way up to SCOTUS in order to allow declared homosexuals into the organization, but they lost on the first amendment grounds of a private organization with the right to free association.
It wasn’t until the early 2000s that the “woke” economic boycotts by corporate donors to the BSA began at the behest of the (((lgbt community))) movers and shakers.
Robert Gates was the straw that broke the camel’s back because for some queer reason, he was considered a respectable and moderate “conservative ” with deep roots in the BSA. Hell, if those were the qualifications, Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin could have become the National President of the BSA, and he would have never allowed it to go under like deep state Bob.

I was fortunate to be a Boy Scout during the 1950’s…had a single but straight scoutmaster named Martin Hall who got everyone’s parents to sign a release, and one season marched us into the heart of the Colorado rockies where we climbed Mt. of the Holy Cross @ c. 14.000 feet, crossed raging torrents on rope bridges we built ourselves, then camped out for 2 weeks and lived on dehydated food we brought in plus cut-throat trout we caught. Those days – and scouting – are long gone:

Yeah, in the early 60s when I was 13 my old man and three other fathers took about about 20 of us to the Philmont Scout Ranch in northern New Mexico. We trekked over 50 miles through the Sangre de Christo mountains, carrying everything on our backs. Our highest climb, IIRC, was over 13 k ft. This adventure was perhaps my father’s best gift to me as a teen. No sisters, no moms, no girl friends, no teachers, no law enforcers, no diversity, no gays, no fake equallity, no forced tolerance, no diluted standards …just a few tough White fathers we naturally looked up to and us White boys.
The logistic strategy of one my closest buddies was to go as light as possible, while I erred toward the opposite extreme. He struggled less up the slopes, while I sometimes carried more than 80 lbs when it was my turn to lug the pots and pans of the patrol cook kit. Nonetheless, at the day’s end my friend had only one set of underwear, which bore cumulative evidence of nearly every previous meal he had eaten. A year or so later, having worked together on most of the same merit badges, we both achieved the rank of Eagle at the same time.

Same here Lars. Philmont was great. I’m an eagle scout as well. Nonetheless, I am so angry at BSA mismanagement that I’m keeping my own family out of scouting and don’t expect anything to turn around. It was once a great Anglo institution.

My brother was in the Boy Scouts in the mid 1980s. When my parents picked him up from a camping get away he was acting strangely, the asked what the matter was he shouted nothing leave me alone.

When I was a kid, my scout leaders, after we went to bed, sat around the camp fire and drank beer and told each other stories of their adventures in WWII and other places. These were some pretty serious guys, who had been in the Battle of the Bulge, Guadalcanal and those sorts of places. Who had camped out on the range in Texas, panned for gold in Alaska, or road the rails around the US. I think they enjoyed getting away from the wife for the weekend, or the week.
As morally depraved as the Boy Scouts are today, the coordinated three ring media circus suggests the extent of the abuse is contrived. I’d guess a significant percentage of the supposed victims are homosexual drama queens basking in victimhood as their disgusting lack of self restraint is vindicated with cash awards.
When I was a Boy Scout many years ago, the scoutmaster was removed after he apparently inappropriately touched some of the boys. I was probably in 7th or 8th grade at the time and I recall we shrugged it off as no big deal and sad for him since he was a nice guy.
I find it very hard to believe conditions exist during scout meetings or camping trips for a homo to perform some act on a boy or number of boys and get away with it. The Boy Scouts, moreover, used to teach boys manly skills and habits that are anathema to helplessly lying supine as some man sexually abuses them.
The Mormon exit from scouting was a major contributing factor! The LDS Church has placed a high value on scouting for children for generations and even as weak as the LDS Church has been in putting up a fight against globalhomo, even they had finally had enough and cut ties which meant thousands of dollars in dues.

Absolutely correct! Bringing in girls and (overt) gays was probably the last straw for LDS. But the organization has been severely dumbed-down (I saw it for myself). Most scoutmasters (including ex-military, dishearteningly enough) seem to be borderline clueless, just trying to baby their sons up to Eagle so they can put it on their resume. Guys I know who made Eagle as late as the 90s tell a different story: hardcore, clued-up scoutmasters who’d put the boys through their paces and take them on adventurous week-long back country canoe trips etc.

In the media in the past 24 hours, this same Kosnoff is being quoted gloating about the bankruptcy and calling for the final and permanent end of scouting in America.

So sad. My boys will not be in BSA (heck, it’s not even BSA but now ‘scouts’). We’re just doing a lot of camping and hiking instead. Very unfortunate because increasingly we’ve been compelled to withdraw from the old institutions, leaving our habits entirely voluntarily and rather idiosyncratic without backing from an institutional framework to maintain and project such to future generations. Very poor and sorry circumstance(s) for us all, and another loss among many.

In our case, our six kids are about 2 yrs apart apiece, so we can endure without others. We’re not happy with that situation, but we’ve been unable to find suitable families for worthwhile co-mingling. Those who share our views on race are not historically Protestant and don’t comprehensively share our cultural values. Others just lack necessary race-solidarity. Hard to find both characteristics in a single household. So, having a larger family compensates for deficiencies. Bottom line: ethnonationalists are not reliable and tend to be countercultural.

Couple of things. First, I have to agree with the Trad Catholics about a couple of things. One of which is that nothing good comes from anything with Masonic Roots (the BSA clearly had its roots in Freemasonry). Second, even before faggotry was being pushed the organization was littered with degenerates/liberals. Back in the 80s, there were a number of scout leaders that were ex-hippy types that came into the organization because they liked the outdoors and camping. Andy Sipowicz (from NYPD Blue) lamented in one episode about nothing good coming from Boy Scout camping trips.
Lastly, there was a mention by our friend @Hail regarding a (((Law Firm))) targeting the BSA. This is what E. Michael Jones refers to as “The Jew being both the arsonist and the fireman”.
