I’m enjoying the post-Trump era.
It is about time that we started talking about anti-whiteness.
“I am a teacher at Grace Church High School in Manhattan. Ten years ago, I changed careers when I discovered how rewarding it is to help young people explore the truth and beauty of mathematics. I love my work.
As a teacher, my first obligation is to my students. But right now, my school is asking me to embrace “antiracism” training and pedagogy that I believe is deeply harmful to them and to any person who seeks to nurture the virtues of curiosity, empathy and understanding.
“Antiracist” training sounds righteous, but it is the opposite of truth in advertising. It requires teachers like myself to treat students differently on the basis of race. Furthermore, in order to maintain a united front for our students, teachers at Grace are directed to confine our doubts about this pedagogical framework to conversations with an in-house “Office of Community Engagement” for whom every significant objection leads to a foregone conclusion. Any doubting students are likewise “challenged” to reframe their views to conform to this orthodoxy. …”
If memory serves, one of you said in the comments that we needed to talk about low morale in the “movement.” I can’t think of anything that is a bigger boost to morale than the good news that it seems the moment when White people finally “woke up” is behind us and in the rearview mirror. It was the George Floyd riots last summer that changed everything.
“The head of an elite Manhattan school that booted a teacher for ripping its extremist “antiracism” policies was recorded admitting that it has been “demonizing white people,” according to audio released Tuesday.
“We’re demonizing kids, we’re demonizing white people for being born,’’ George Davison, principal of the private Grace Church School, was allegedly caught telling whistleblowing teacher Paul Rossi on the tape.
“We are using language that makes them feel ‘less than’ — for nothing that they are personally responsible for,’’ the supposedly woke principal acknowledges, according to the audio released by Rossi. …”
“The math teacher who was pulled from his classes at Grace Church School after criticizing the school’s anti-racism policies released audio Tuesday of an explosive phone call in which the head of school made an astonishing admission – that ‘we’re demonizing white people for being born.’
Paul Rossi, the teacher, released the audio on Twitter Tuesday morning of a phone conversation with George Davison that he said occurred March 2. The two are apparently talking about the whole woke movement in schools and how authority figures are making white students feel inherently racist.
‘Let me ask you something, George, because I think there’s something very different about having a single experience where you make sense of it, right, and having a teacher, an authority figure, talk to you endlessly, every year, telling you, that because you have whiteness you are associated with evils, all these different evils,’ Rossi tells him on the excerpt he released. …”
Grace Church School (GCS) sent faculty, staff and administrators a letter Sunday notifying them that parents had expressed discomfort and students had requested to be removed from teacher Paul Rossi’s class after his public criticism.
“The well-being of our community is our first priority, and we take it seriously whenever students raise concerns about the professionalism of a teacher,” said Head of School George Davison. “It is clear to me that Paul cannot be effective as a teacher at Grace any more. I have informed him that he is relieved of his teaching duties, and we’ve asked two support teachers to take over his math classes for the final quarter. He has been asked to not come into the building without prior coordination.” …”
ANTIRACISM IS ANTIWHITE.
It is true what those people have been saying on the internet.
I’m afraid it is worse than that though. Ibram X. Kendi has become like the Rasputin of the Biden administration and the Democratic Party. He is the little anti-White voice in the ear of senior policymakers in Washington telling them to embrace communism and abolish the police.
Note: “Equity” is the new buzzword for communism.
