CNN: The Reason We’re Becoming More Extreme

The “mainstream media” doesn’t exist anymore.

It talks to like a third of the country who are Democrats.

In my youth, I can remember the time when CNN was perceived as a legitimate news organization. CNN was a big deal in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. “Journalists” were still taken seriously. There were “watchdog organizations” who defined who was an “extremist” and who was “mainstream.”

I have the sense that this changed over the last decade. CNN became what it is today within the last six or seven years. The so-called “mainstream” has become hyperpartisan and has been receding back to its core audience of shitlibs with college degrees in coastal metros. Jonathan Greenblatt of the ADL goes on CNN and rages about “extremists” and no one cares outside of that shrinking bubble.

I’ve seen another recent study which shows that “journalists” are less trusted in the United States than anywhere else in the world. This survey had trust in the media down to 29% compared to Gallup’s more optimistic 36%. “Journalists” are perceived to be progressive activists.

Note: Increasingly, these people are perceived as a monolithic class who live in the metros and who are out of touch with the country and have become the butt of jokes.

  1. “In my youth, I can remember the time when CNN was perceived as a legitimate news”

You can be forgiven, you were young.

  2. I don’t believe their polls. Anyone can make up a poll, or gear the results to favor their ideas.

There’s a lot of educated true conservatives, and the idea that we are all uneducated rednecks is just the story they keep spinning.

They show Hitler as extremist, because they think we have no right to exist.

      • Then me, and people I know, don’t fit their poll results. I never use the news to get real information. Myself, and my friends are all highly educated, and we are not liberal at all. But we don’t fit into the Hannity/Killmeade type of conservatives.

  3. There’s a reason CNN should stand for (C)ommunist (N)ews (N)etwork because they are pushing Stasi propaganda.

  4. Having a framed sheet of very expensive toilet paper on the wall proving that one has been through a (((Cultural Marxist))) credential mill is hardly proof of brilliance. After all: they give them to niggers.
