Mitch McConnell: Vast Majority of Republicans “Totally Behind” Ukraine

This is why I have never been a Republican.

Well, it is certainly at least one of the top three reasons.

The GOP position on Iraq was to invade the country because Saddam Hussein was an evil dictator with WMD who needed be spanked with some freedom and democracy.

The GOP position on Syria was that Assad was an evil dictator and we needed to arm the moderate rebels (al-Qaeda) and stay there forever to protect the Kurds.

The GOP position on Afghanistan was to occupy the country forever.

The GOP position on Ukraine is to incite and then get even more deeply involved in the war.

The GOP position on the military-industrial complex is that the Pentagon’s budget always need to be enlarged. It is nothing more than pure militarism.

As a non-interventionist, why should I care who controls the Senate? The GOP wants to fight wars and relentlessly meddle in the internal affairs of foreign countries and expand the American Empire into ever more far flung parts of Eurasia. They couldn’t go even a year without inciting a new war.

  1. No it´s actually just because it´s a new “war”! the Ukraine have nothing to do with it

There is yet to be a war in human history that the “R” haven´t backed alongside it´s retarded flag hat wearing mindless minions of the military and patriot crowd

This is the party of bloodshed this is the party of Lincoln

  2. Stupid is as stupid does.

“I may be Irish, but I am not stupid.” That has got to the new GOP campaign slogan.

We need, we must, establish a Mickdom upon the rubble that once was America, so say one so say all Irish retodds.

  3. Yes, the GOP has been somewhat interventionist for the past 20 years. However, this is an aberration that is lacking in context. Insofar as the GOP has been interventionist, it is merely the neocon little brother to the Democratic global imperialists.

Let us not forget that all of America’s imperial wars of the 20th century were Democrat wars. Democrat college professor Woodrow Wilson insisted that we go kill Germans to make them democratic. When they became democratic and voted for the NSDAP, crippled Democrat FDR sent even more troops to kill them again. Democrat Harry Truman then sent troops to Korea to kill commies, who were our anti-German allies only five years prior. Then Democrat Lyndon Johnson sent a half-million troops to kill gooks in the jungles of Vietnam, while communism remained embedded only 90 miles from Miami.

Not to be outdone, Bill “I loathe the military” Clinton bombed Serbia, and bombed Iraq the night before his impeachment. Obama and Hillary Clinton bombed Libya and sent troops to Syria, and put 100,000 troops into Afghanistan, getting 2500 of them killed.

Of course the GOP fucked up Iraq, and neocons like John McCain backed the Democrats in every one of these interventions. But let us not forget that despite support from neocons like McConnell, the present interventionist White House and Congress is Democrat controlled.

One of the most successful lies of the past century is that the Democrats are against war. Quite the opposite. There was no war under Coolidge, Harding, Hoover, and Eisenhower. Nixon ended our disaster in Vietnam. Reagan intervened as a “peacekeeper” in Lebanon and got 240 Marines killed and a that was the end of that. Grenada was a Monroe Doctrine police action, as was the covert support for the Contras. One could at least argue that Reagan’s interventionism was quite minimal.

    • no, all the wars you cite were bi-partisan, and never more so than now, what with the Jew-SA’s Zionist uniparty. Looking at the Long 20th Century, the Spanish-American War was a pure Republiscam land-grab. While WWI began as a Demoncrat machination, Teddy Roosevelt & the Republiscams hopped right on board once the Germans began sinking “our neutral ships” full of war-cargo for Britain and France. 1920’s? Harding-Coolidge-Hoover? One Central America banana war after another, Marines all over the place. 1940? Republican Prez candidate Wall Street Wilkie as warmongerish as FDR. 1950’s? US intervention in Vietnam begins with Eisenhower covert bombing missions in support of French. Enough, you get the point. Right now, given all Trump’s chickenhawk bluster about “Russian nuclear weapons don’t frighten me’, I’d vote 2024 for a half-sane demoncrat first.

  4. Was it the GOP position that Jefferson Davis was an evil dictator? It’s the Southern patriot position that Abe Lincoln was.

      • “As a non-interventionist, why should I care who controls the Senate? ”

Because their actions can ruin your life and that of your descendants.

        • Because their actions can ruin your life and that of your descendants.

No ordinary person has any control over who is selected to make up the senate. Totally rigged. As some of us like to remind: Vote moar harder. The R-jerseys have revealed themselves in the last 3 weeks to be a hopelessly cucked and useless as ever. It’s even more obvious than usual now that they are merely a squad of the uniparty, which a number of us here were already aware of.

    • In a perfect world Mitch “The Undertaker” McConnell would marry that hideous goblin Nancy “Botox” Pelosi, a match made in Hell, perfect for both of them.

  5. If Putin is a war criminal, then so too is Tony Blair and George W Bush.
After twenty years in Afghanistan, did they leave it a better place than they found it? That half the population now wants to flee the country should answer that question for you.
And then we had the phony WMD claims in Iraq……that made me sick.
Unless they can create positive and lasting change, which isn’t our job anyway, they should stay the fuck out of it.

    • Yet another time the jew media got their way. After hearing “WMD’S!!!!” for two years, intelligent people figured out they were lying.

      • …..meaning for the two years prior to the neo-con war to serve Israel’s interests.
