Don’t think this is the opinion of an American lawyer. Get that disclaimer out of the way. If I’m wrong, please correct.
Trump can only directly pardon Chauvin of his Federal convictions. I don’t know if he got any based on the incident with George Floyd. But I do know that in the heat of the news and controversy, the IRS started sniffing and found something. He already did plead out to that while he was in jail waiting on the more critical state charges.
However, the DOJ can look into the way that the Minnesota state trial against him was carried out, for due process concerns. It would take a successful DOJ lawsuit in federal court against the state and judges finding for the DOJ and overturning the convictions.
Tim Walz certainly isn’t going to pardon Chauvin. Certainly nobody that could get elected the governor in that state will, not even a Republican.
After graduating from law school, Shapiro entered private practice at the law firm Goodwin Procter, but left after 10 months. As of March 2012, he ran an independent legal consultancy firm, Benjamin Shapiro Legal Consulting, in Los Angeles.[9]

Ben Schapp is also a jew and the jews love stirring the pot of racial agitation. It is the way they express their hatred Christ.

Oh really? Maybe he just doesn’t idolize a bum like Floyd and understands Chauvin would make a better neighbor than having the chaos of some unemployed, counterfeiting, drug taking, “baby daddy” move in next door? Or can see all Chauvin was doing was limiting his movement on the ground and not taking any action to stop him from breathing? He was probably used to black thugs lying just to get up and try to run away and didn’t expect this large able bodied guy to just drop dead. Not recognizing a medical emergency might have been a professional error, but this whole criminal thing was cooked up in the backroom of media and DNC donors at least a year or two before. They intended to give us a “Long Hot Summer” and were going to propagandize any incident they could until they got it. They already had a movie in the works glorifying the Chicago hippie rioter defendants from ’68 to set the mood for 2020. Most likely scenario: Floyd swallowed his stash when the cops showed up after trying to pan his counterfeit bill at the liquor and lottery ‘hood joint and OD’d.
Innocent until proven guilty. Floyd died an innocent man.
@ countenance
Chauvin is totally innocent but he’s screwed. He won the lottery of being in the worst place and situation at the worst time. Anyone with functioning eyeballs could see his trial was stacked against him. Not changing the venue of the trial with a constant angry mob present and openly intimidating the jury violated Chauvin’s civil rights, which is interesting because the fed conviction was for violating Floyds civil rights.
Do you have one of those “Back the Blue” stickers on your Kia, Wallace?
Trump needs to pardon the members of the Rise Above Movement.
All they did was:
1. Attempt to peacefully assemble.
2. Defend themselves when violently attacked by Antifa.
Unlike Chauvin, they were convicted on federal charges only, not state charges. Unlike Chauvin who would need a pardon from the governor of Minnesota, RAM can be given a complete pardon by President Trump.
I will hold my breath while I wait for Ben Shapiro to call for them to be pardoned.
@Countenance,
Hunter sometimes gets over excited and cocky about news, in this case that all sorts of political theatrics are going our way. Its true that (((Shapiro))) is changing his turne and taking a more overt rightwing viewpoint on race and civil rights, including on Derek Chauvin. But, in another example of how the DRs are their own worst enemy, he probably would’ve done it sooner, but all the anti-kike and anti-zionist talk from the Dissident Right scared him away (I told you fools).
Now, because Trump is taking overt implicit White positions on colonial settler issues from Colonial America to South Africa to Israel, as well as on Civil Rights issues, etc Shapiro feels safe taking a position adjacent to us. As a result, Hunter is ecstatic despite the fact that without an actual Southern and/or American ethnic lobby group being active, it amounts to mostly fireworks. Still its better than before, which something to be grateful for.
As to the fact of Derek Chauvin’s verdicts, he was charged and found guilty of both federal and state crimes. The federal and state sentences are to run concurrently, meaning he gets to serve both whether in federal or state prison. The Minnesota Department of Corrections lists Chauvin’s anticipated release date on the state sentence as December 10, 2035. For the federal charges, Chauvin will likely be released from prison in the year 2038. Chauvin filed a motion in federal court in mid-November 2023 attempting to vacate his guilty plea which opens up some avenues for him and with media backing like by Shapiro might prompt Trump.
Trump could pardon him for the Federal crimes, which would save about 2.5 years off his prison term. But, Trump cant do anything about the State charge. However, Chauvin’s filing does allow a Federal Court to vacate the guily plea which would allow him to relitigate the State charges and provide Trump some legal excuses to pardon him in addition to the overt racism against Chauvin.
Meanwhile, its likely new evidence will turn up proving Chauvin was lynched by State Court. In that circumstance the federal filing by Chauvin would also allow the court to order the State to release him. In that scenario the State could attempt to recharge him or simply let him go with charge of pending over his head like the sword of Damocles. Chauvin could also sue the State and Feds. So, lots of openings here but Trump’s pardon is not a final get out of jail charge. So, dont get cocky kid.

Pardoning Derek Chauvin becoming the center-right position as represented by the likes of Ben Shapiro and Chris Rufo is … good?
@Hunter Wallace,
“Pardoning Derek Chauvin becoming the center-right position as represented by the likes of Ben Shapiro and Chris Rufo is … good?”
Yes, because they pull more people to our left over to our side and its indicative of more mainstreaming of our side’s viewpoints such as there really does exist Anti-White racism, Anti-White lynching, Black Privilege, etc etc.
Trump pardoning him on these grounds would alone eviscerated the whole ST. GEORGE THE N@GGER meme. You will know we have total victory and holocausted the Black Lives Matter movement when a Minnesota court jury order’s Chauvin’s release because his Civil Rights were violated cuz Racism.
Here, Here
But this is just another ploy by Shapiro to stay burrowed in. He’s OK with Chauvin frying.
Shappy must have seen pictures of the restraint techniques used by his Lehirgun kinfolk against Palestinian protesters, which the Zionists have taught to numerous American police departments. Those methods make Officer Chauvin look like Barney Fife.
Yes. The very aptly-named Littlest Chickenhawk’s feathers have not changed. It’s just clucking a different tune than the usual genocidal one against Christians. Shapiro earned this title back in the days of Curious Jorge’s misunderestimated Mesopotamian misadventure. While shouting from the synagogue rooftop that all you goy-honkies needed to join the Imperial Legion to go an save the world from Saddam, he demurred signing up himself despite being of military age when Vox Day confronted him on it – ‘splainin’ that heed needed to go and get his ambulance-chaser degree. There aren’t many creatures on the planet as totally loathsome as the Littlest Chickenhawk. He should be stripped of citizenship and all assets and deported – perhaps to a nice Muslim country like Afghanistan where the locals would know how to deal with him appropriately.
You know there’s absolutely no catch because ben shapiro, an american patriot through and through, is calling for it. Did you even stop and ask yourself if maybe there’s an ulterior motive that is detrimental to white people here? Or are you just gobbling up whatever these people say?
Jews are so all-knowing, powerful, and wise that anytime a Jew does something that appears to be in your interest, it actually means he’s secretly working against your interest. Thus, you should oppose whatever he’s doing. But… since they’re all-knowing, they probably knew you were going to oppose them and accounted for that! Which means you should not oppose them, otherwise you’re playing into their hands! But… what if they knew that you knew that they knew…
The best thing, then, is to do absolutely nothing and make sardonic comments about anyone who does anything at all.
I don’t see any downside to pardoning Derek Chauvin.
Ben is correct that he is innocent. He has changed his tune in a good way. Chauvin was also nearly stabbed to death in prison.
Are we at the point where the “antisemitic” position is that Derek Chauvin should rot in prison simply because Ben Shapiro thinks he should be released?
@Hunter Wallace,
“Are we at the point where the “antisemitic” position is that Derek Chauvin should rot in prison simply because Ben Shapiro thinks he should be released?”
Are we at that point? Bro, a bunch of the DR commentators here where already there before Chauvin was found guilty. The leftists in Nazi garb has always been a problem. Which is why don’t associate with Nazis in coalition or in anything. They are a tool of the invisible Red Net whether wittingly or not.
> Are we at the point where the “antisemitic” position is that Derek Chauvin should rot in prison simply because Ben Shapiro thinks he should be released?
I suppose some of the NTJ folks would go that far. Chauvin’s trial and conviction were a complete travesty. As I mentioned below, there’s nothing good about the Littlest Chickenhawk. His support of pardoning Chauvin could merely a case of a old broken clock inadvertently giving the correct time twice a day, or (more likely) jumping onto the present anti-woke bandwagon to keep his grift going. For those who saw Owen Benjamin’s hilarious takedown, Benji’s gotta keep sellin’ them sheets to the booboisie.
If I’m not mistaken, I remember the pictures of the myriads of “protestors” outside of the courthouse waiting for the “right” verdict to come in. Which they got. If that wasn’t jury intimidation, I don’t know what is. Clearly, Chauvin did not get a fair trial.
The trial of Derek Chauvin was an absolute TRAVESTY of justice. Facts were thrown out, ignored, hand-waved away — on the altar of anti-White animus, emotional hysteria, White-guilt-negro-butt-kissing and appeasement, and good old-fashioned Whitey-hate. Whatever is in Trump’s power to do needs to be done. IMMEDIATELY. Whatever is within Trump’s power to do for the McMichaels, father and son, and Williams Bryans ALSO needs to be done. IMMEDIATELY. Dittoes for JAMES FIELDS. Restitution in the form of large financial payouts, solemn public ceremonies, and permanent memorials is also due to these victims of JUDICIAL LYNCHINGS.
@Astrid,
The toxicology report showed that he had enough fentanyl in his bloodstream to be fatal.
It was jury nullification.
In other words, the jury was intimidated by BLM mobs outside the courthouse and leftist reporters doxxing them, so they voted guilty.
Trump ought to pardon me. I am the victim of a soul-less government entrapment scam.
