Renaming New Mexico is of course a good idea, whenever white folks regain control of the State. New America is not the best choice. West Texas would be fine.

Consulting with AI, the best name that is not political would be “Sierra”. There is even a county in NM called “Sierra County”. Better sounding name (Spanish) so it would represent the people living there more accurately.
