Austin Metcalf's father on Fox: "This wasn't a race thing"
— captive dreamer (@siegfriedmuell) April 3, 2025
I simply can't imagine being a father and going on national television ONE DAY after your son was stabbed to death by a black kid to grovel like this. Utterly despicable. pic.twitter.com/nMb2h65GP1
Austin Metcalf’s mother and brother disagree with Austin’s father’s approach to forgive Karmelo Anthony.

This family like many others in the West now is desperately lacking a masculine protector as the head of the household.
Do not allow yourself to be like Jeff Metcalf. pic.twitter.com/kXg1XLKj2Z
There is no hope of improving “race relations” in this country as long as a black murderer can be rewarded with half a million dollars and a new home for stabbing a white kid to death https://t.co/6GzMh028ZM

The Karmelo Anthony crowdfund was clearly described as a legal fund

Using it to purchase a new house is fraud
People went to jail for this in the We Build the Wall case https://t.co/Igu9bsw228

“Our people are coming together.”
Austin Metcalf’s White father:
“This has nothing to do with race.”
Karmelo Anthony’s Black supporters:
“The opposition is racist (anti-Black i.e. anti-us).”
Austin Metcalf White supporters:
“Stay away from… pic.twitter.com/ufB6145zi9
Austin Metcalf’s father: “This isn’t about race.”
Black people: “This is totally about race and we are giving Karmelo Anthony half a million dollars as a reward for murdering a White kid for his family can buy a new mansion.”
“THE family of the teen accused of stabbing a student athlete to death at a track meet plans to shell out on a new home and security to protect the alleged murderer after he was released from jail.
Karmelo Anthony walked out of jail silently surrounded by his family on Monday, who posted his $250,000 bond after a judge agreed to lower it from $1 million. …
Over $420,000 has been donated to Anthony’s family in an online fundraiser for the alleged killer after he reportedly faced racist threats following Metcalf’s murder. …”
Karmelo Anthony was just let out of jail on bond by a black female Republican judge.
“The Texas judge who reduced the bond of a teen who killed another boy at a track meet has been forced to go private on social media after being widely criticized for her ruling.
Collin County district judge Angela Tucker set her X account to private after she reduced Karmelo Anthony’s bond from $1million to $250,000 on Monday. …”
Tucker, who was elected as a Republican, has been receiving racist attacks after reducing Anthony’s bond, with several social media accounts sharing her image and information as they slam the bond reduction.
At the same time the judge has been receiving support from Anthony’s supporters, who have donated more than $425,000 for his defense. …”
The “senseless tragedy” shtick isn’t working.
The Austin Metcalf story is sticking in the news cycle. The racial angle is getting more attention.
