Greg Conte has written another thought provoking piece at National Socialist World on the religious infighting that has consumed the “NS” movement over the past year or so.
“Today is the second anniversary of Hamas’ bold and noble attack on the Zionist terror-state and pedo-scam homebase. Since then the whole world has come to understand the full evil of Israel and its supporters within the US government and elite.
The Jews have to win in Gaza. They have to maintain control of International Capital. Above all, they have to prevent the peoples of America and Europe from rebelling against Jewish rule.
They cannot allow the consolidation of a secular, pro-White resistance against Jewish Power in the United States.
They have a bunch of tactics. But right now, the one that they are pushing most aggressively is sowing religious dissent. By this means, they hope to keep their potential opponents divided and thereby to continue their rapacious and murderous world-wide schemes.
Religion is an easy place to attack. As usual, the Jews are offering two options, both poisoned. One is a hateful breed of atheism that focuses on the so-called “Christian Question”—that is, the idea that Christianity itself is some kind of evil Jewish mind-virus that prevents Aryans from resisting Jewish Power.
The other is deceptively called “Christian Nationalism” though it is neither Christian nor Nationalist. It isn’t really even political. It’s just a vague call to put narrow denominational interests ahead of our whole race’s God-given duty to stand up to Jewish war, mass-murder and state-sanctioned pedophilia. …”
I have a different perspective.
I keep coming back to this photo of George Lincoln Rockwell and the Hate Bus in 1961. It captures something essential about the antisocial role of “NS” in American history.
“NS” is a sideshow.
It has always been about trolling for attention.
It has always been a politically toxic marginalized subculture. It has never held a single office or position of power at the state, local or federal level in the United States in the 80 years since Hitler’s death. Rockwell himself was assassinated by one of his own dysfunctional followers.
From the founding of the American colonies at Jamestown in 1607 to Donald Trump’s second term in 2025, the “NS” subculture has contributed nothing to America’s racial history. Think about that for a minute. The White settlers who fought and expelled the Indians were not “NS.” The slaveowners who enslaved blacks were not “NS.” Every single law that was ever passed in American history that codified some type of racial distinction over the course of three centuries had nothing to do with “NS.”
As I have explained, the broader White Nationalist movement has been a religious ghetto for decades where secular atheists, agnostics and pagans are massively overrepresented relative to their actual share of the White population. This is particularly true on the far end of the spectrum called “NS” where several generations of cranks have created “racial religions” as a substitute for “Jewish Christianity.” They send me their literature all the time rehearsing the same arguments which arrives every month in our P.O. Box. Twenty years ago, the same people were peddling Cosmotheism and Creativity.
The overwhelming majority of White Americans who are irreligious, atheist, agnostic or pagan gravitate toward liberalism, progressivism or libertarianism. It is only a tiny minority of extreme outliers – maybe 2 out of 100 – who incline toward fascism. These misfits do not fit into either political coalition. They are too racist and authoritarian for the Left, but too anti-Christian and socially liberal for the Right. They are mainly known for their lack of self awareness in demanding that America be recast in their image. They do not see themselves as outliers or understand where they fit into the American political landscape.
Picture this.
White Nationalism is a sort of religious ghetto. “NS” is like a block within the larger ghetto. American conservatism or the Right is like the larger town which contains the ghetto. The rules of entry and exit into and out of the ghetto and policing used to be a lot stricter than they are now.
There is currently a riot going on within the “NS” world against Christians which has been triggered by the fact that conservatism has radically changed over the past six years. The mainstream right and fringe right have been redefined by Trump and the MAGA movement which has erased traditional boundaries. The intensification of political polarization has pushed millions of conservatives into fringe right territory. Paleoconservatism, for example, is now an important faction in Trump’s base. Much of what used to be fringe right discourse a decade ago like, say, hating Antifa is now mainstream.
The view from inside the “NS” block of the White Nationalist ghetto is that White Christian Nationalism is a Jewish conspiracy against them to derail “the consolidation of a secular, pro-White resistance against Jewish Power.” They see themselves, not as delusional fringe outliers, but as the main characters in our history. They also incorrectly assume that on the day when “White people wake up” that it will take on the form that suits their ideological convictions and religious preferences when there is no reason to believe this. They are angry that their toy train isn’t the one leaving the train station.
Why would it be?
Every previous racial and cultural awakening and nativist movement in American history has been driven by the radicalization of Protestants and specifically White evangelical Protestants. When it happened last time in the 1920s, it came in the form of 100% Americanism, Prohibition, America First. Even back then, the Klan claimed it was not driven by hatred of Jews, Catholics or Negroes.
This is America.
Adolf Hitler is dead.
The NSDAP ceased to exist a lifetime ago.
This isn’t National Socialist Germany in the 1930s.
White Protestants have always been the main character in America’s racial history. “Heritage American” is the fashionable euphemism we prefer to use today instead of “Protestant” or “Nordic.”
What happened over the last decade that transformed our politics? White Protestants were radicalized by gay marriage, transgenderism, immigration and Wokeism. That explains everything like Charlie Kirk celebrating the legalization of homosexuality in Botswana in Trump’s first term to where he was at when he was assassinated in Utah last month and his memorial service in a NFL stadium.
Greg is also mistaken about the potency of White Christian Nationalism.
1. White evangelical Protestants dominate Southern politics.
2. This is more than enough to be the dominant faction in the Republican Party.
3. Republicans dominate the country through the shape of the Senate and Electoral College.
4. Greg is mischaracterizing White Christian Nationalism by projecting a level of denominational infighting that really doesn’t exist – White evangelicals, mainline Protestants, Catholics, Mormons and all types of White Christians are part of the MAGA base and voted to empower Trump. Theobros and Trad Caths set aside their differences and cooperate more easily than “NS” activists.
5. This coalition is strong enough to control all three branches of the federal government. Unlike in Trump’s first term, “True Conservatism” is no longer holding it back either. Trump’s inner circle is now willing to take the most extreme measures like invoking the Insurrection Act or persuading the Supreme Court to nuke the Voting Rights Act to gerrymander a Republican House majority.
6. Finally, even states that are Christian, but religiously and racially diverse like Texas and Florida have defied expectations in this highly polarized political environment. Cultural polarization works politically against the Left because White college educated voters are a minority.
“NS” activists are butthurt about this development.
They are having an internal meltdown about Christianity because of the rise of White Christian Nationalism and the success it is having in transforming our politics. They are angry that it is White Christians who are closing the borders, banning Antifa, rolling back anti-Whiteism. They see this as a threat to them primarily because it holds up a mirror to their own internal dysfunction.
Winning is bad for “NS.”
The success we are having is unforgivable. It is bad for “the consolidation of a secular, pro-White resistance” which looks like a sideshow. It has always been a clown car or sideshow, but until now the great hope has been that one day White America would wake up and that when that happened somehow “NS” would triumph and their fantasy world would come true.
One last thing.
Charlottesville was the proof of the failure of the “race first” concept.
By putting “race first” and being a “secular, pro-White resistance against Jewish power,” the Alt-Right basically set aside the question of morality. This created the space for “NS” schizos like James Fields, Jr. to show up at the Unite the Right rally. He drove his car into the crowd, got everyone sued and ended the Alt-Right with one single blow. Lack of moral agreement one shotted the Alt-Right.
We don’t need the “NS” activists who spend all their time attacking Christianity to accomplish anything in American politics. Those people are an albatross to anyone who is sane, sober and who had a good moral upbringing and being associated with them is nothing but a legal and political liability. They are weird outliers and their loud presence online disguises their negligible resonance in White America.
Note: As for White Nationalism, which is not necessarily the same thing as the antisocial “NS” weirdos, there shouldn’t be any doubt that the path forward is through mainstreaming. The radicalization of White Protestants is an unalloyed positive development. White Protestants have been persuaded to see Antifa as their enemy and adopt much of the Alt-Right’s old agenda, frame and talking points. The next step is to build momentum and move from anti-anti-Whiteism to explicit pro-White politics.

Serious question for Hunter: Which would you rather accept as part of the “movement” you belong to?
1): a lower-class, trashy White single mother with White children, who doesn’t go to church, doesn’t vote and supports Palestine, or:
2): an upper-middle-class White conservative man with an Asian wife who has traditional family values, is an avid churchgoer and MAGA voter who supports Israel?
I’d love to know.
What do you mean by movement?
A political movement is an organized attempt to capture political power to advance shared interests and policy goals. The pro-Israel MAGA voter with the Asian wife who voted for Trump is part of his coalition and movement and thus empowered people like Stephen Miller to crush Antifa, close the border, purge the FBI, etc.
The lower-class, secular, trashy White single mother who rejects politics and political engagement is not part of any political movement. She is not trying to accomplish anything. She is not trying to move the country in her preferred direction. The people who share her apolitical mindset are similarly bystanders who submit to being governed by people like the MAGA guy.
BTW, this is why the “NS” movement isn’t a political movement. It is why it doesn’t move, attract popular support or accomplish any of its goals. It rejects the very idea of political activity and engagement because “the System” is something that happens to them. This peculiar type of despairing helplessness and loser identity and attitude is also why it differs in very substantial ways from historic National Socialism.
