The Labor Department on Tuesday reported that the consumer price index increased at an annual rate of 3.8 percent — the highest since May 2023 — with rising energy costs accounting for more than 40 percent of the spike. Food prices at grocery stores and restaurants also rose, and shelter prices shot up. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy costs, ticked higher at a rate of 2.8 percent. …”

And it’s only going to get worse as far as inflation because with an economy the size of the US’s it takes months for the effects of stuff like oil price shocks to start showing up in everyday prices of goods and services.

      • Please read more about Agenda 2030 as it is what Trump’s actions are pulling us toward. They could not wait until 2026 if they wanted to stay on schedule. They needed the oil and food shortages. Next up is another plandemic to further cull the population. Trump’s AI push is part of this. The wrestling reality star and his red cohorts are just taking one for the team as the uniparty passes the ball to team blue to keep moving the Agenda forward, likely with more AI and definitely with more non-white immigration.           Yes. And Trump is a damned fool. They won’t let him keep his loot. He is going to be frog marched to the international criminal Court and tried as some sort of war criminal and violater of human rights. His family likewise will be be fleeced of its wealth and prosecuted. At best Jared might escape with a portion of the Middle East most likely Israel. What remains of Trump’s familial wealth will be Jared Kushner’s. There is no escape clause, especially for the Trumps, for getting out of jail and surviving. It’s over for them as well, now that Trump has blinked.

  3. PS: There is very little Trump can really do about inflation even if he really wanted to. We’re 40 trillion in debt and the dollar is circling the drain ever more rapidly. It’s not so much that the value of basics has increased but that the Epstein Empire is no longer able to hide the disaster they’ve created by forcing the rest of the world to choke on their worthless federal reserve notes. It’s the inevitable result of Keynesian economic married to fictional-reserve banking. Oh and don’y buy Trump, Inc’s shitcoin unless you want a golden statue of Dear Leader in every town square. It might be an improvement over a St. George of Fentanyl idol, but it’s still an idol.

    The very word inflation is a lie , it’s a deflection. It’s really devaluation, inflation is just the result as the devaluation works its way through the economy.

    Second ,
    The numbers are junk , inflation is much higher than reported. The zog only reports a fraction of the actual rate, just to placate the public , because they know they can’t get away with saying ‘there’s no inflation ‘. They report the lowest figure they think the general public will believe.

    They know the greater public is math stupid .
