The president is losing his base in Israel.
It is important to keep in mind what the outrage is about. The GOP needs the MoU to bring gas prices and inflation down before heading into a tough midterm in which Trump is at 35%.
For dire political reasons, the war has to be paused and postponed until it can be resumed again after the midterms. Trump and the GOP have to fool enough people into believing the war is over and prices are coming down to cut their losses like they did last June after boasting about destroying Iran’s nuclear program in Operation Midnight Hammer. JD Vance crowed that the critics who saw Trump as a puppet of Israel were proven wrong and that the war was over because we have a “smart president.”
MIGA and Israelis genuinely feel betrayed. The pause in the war is so unfair to Our Greatest Ally.
