Mark Mitchell: Why Rasmussen Really Fired Me

This is a very important update for those of you who are dismissing the fake polls and leaning on “Rasmussen has Trump at 44%.” Rasmussen fired their pollster Mark Mitchell for criticizing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt when she told Jesse Watters on FOX News in July that Gen Z was lazy, born with silver spoons in their mouths and need to be sent to fight wars with Iran and Cuba.

Note: Trump says he would win the 2024 election by 25 points today. Mark Mitchell had to leave and start his own company because the Right is in the grip of this insanity.

  1. Mark is a pretty good follow on X. I am still baffled by how seemingly all pollsters were wildly wrong in the WI Democratic GOV primary a couple weeks ago. Guess we should be taking all these polls with a grain of salt… but I would venture DJT is even more unpopular than reported!

  2. He was fired for something much worse. Something that can’t even be discussed openely now because it would now cause harm to the entities involved and would be liable. He absolutely deserved to get fired. I’ve mentioned this issue at Rasmussen a couple of times before here at OD, and said it would be devastating to Rasmussen if they didn’t close the problem. So, they finally caught up to the culprit. Literally told you so.

Note, Rasmussen during the period was still making good polls from time to time if they were strictly done according to Rasmussen standards and by Rasmussen polsters directly.

  3. P.S. The right is in the grip of insanity, it’s called Judenphobia and xenophilia. It either thinks a Jew is under the bed at every room inside their homes or that they must bring back troops whove oppressed foreigners for too long to instead guard Hunter’s fishing holes and accept Israeli IDF veteran refugees whove fled the resulting chaos in the Middle East to guard the rightwing’s petrodollar collapsed $100 burritos.

  4. Brad have you heard the discussion around the buffonish book of Spencer and Brahmin “Myth to power”?
I read the reviews of Ed Dutton and Keith Woods and found them reasonable.

  5. It is easy to blame somebody else. I do not think it is fair to blame young people. They got their own thoughts and ideas about things just like everybody else. It is your job Leavitt to convince them why your way of thinking is better not to insult them. Rasmussen needs to give Mitchell back his job right away and apologize. Think they will do it?
