The GOP was warned for years this was coming.
They stuck their heads in the sand, caved to their donor agenda and cried socialism. Trump won the 2024 election because too many people were becoming desperate. The Iran War and all the downstream economic consequences that stem from it have only made them more desperate.

That’s the takeaway of a new Wall Street Journal survey that asked respondents what they want from their elected officials and the political system. Voters of all partisan stripes strongly support capping the cost of prescription drugs, child care and credit-card interest rates.

It is worth noting that the Trump Convention in Dallas and the $5,000 promise bombed with voters and seems to have just pissed them off even more. It hurt Republicans all over the map in September.
