This proposal by @MittRomney is the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. Great job Senator. https://t.co/SIV3MEUsJN

!! GOP Sens. Rubio & Lee come out swinging against Romney child benefits plan:
— Jeff Stein (@JStein_WaPo) February 5, 2021
"We do not support turning the Child Tax Credit into … a ‘child allowance,’ paid out as a universal basic income"
"That is not tax relief for working parents; it is welfare assistance"
By all accounts, Rubio and Lee were the 2 Republican Senators most likely to back Romney's plan.

Pretty safe to assume vast majority of GOP will oppose as well if Rubio and Lee are bashing Romney's plan as "welfare."https://t.co/aHSIVr0O3C
Rubio & Lee on Romney plan: “An essential part of being pro-family is being pro-work. Congress should expand the Child Tax Credit without undercutting the responsibility of parents to work to provide for their families.”https://t.co/0ZnDvmrq5M

What is happening?
Who reprogrammed Mitt Romney?
Why does Mitt Romney suddenly want to give us money? Does Mitt know something that we don’t know about the politics of wealth redistribution?
“If Mitt Romney’s new plan becomes law, you may get up to $350 cash each month for every child that you have.
Here’s what you need to know.
Stimulus Package
Romney (R-UT) proposed new legislation, The Family Security Act, that would provide monthly cash payments to families with children and revamp the child tax credit. Here’s how it would work:
$350 monthly payments for a child 5 years old and under
$250 monthly payments for a child age 6 to 17
A family can receive a maximum monthly payment of $1,250
The payments begin to phase out above $200,000 (individuals) and $400,000 (married/joint filers) of annual income
Any child with a Social Security Number is eligible
A parent can apply four months before a child’s due date
Romney’s proposal would replace the existing tax credit
“American families are facing greater financial strain, worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic, and marriage and birth rates are at an all-time low,” Romney said. …”
“Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Thursday will propose providing at least $3,000 per child to millions of American families, lending bipartisan support to President Biden’s push to dramatically expand child benefits.
Romney’s proposal would provide $4,200 per year for every child up to the age of 6, as well as $3,000 per year for every child age 6 to 17. Senior Democrats are currently drafting legislation as part of their $1.9 trillion stimulus proposal that would provide $3,600 per year for every child up to the age of 6, as well as $3,000 for every child aged 6 to 17 …”
Vox:
“In 2019, Mitt Romney became the first Senate Republican to endorse a form of child allowance, where all low- and middle-income parents would get a cash benefit to help raise their kids, regardless of whether or not they’re able to work. At the time, the plan was modest, amounting to only $1,500 a year for kids under 6 and $1,000 for kids 6-17.
But on Thursday, Romney went further and proposed the Family Security Act, one of the most generous child-benefit packages ever, regardless of political party. The plan completely overhauls the current child tax credit and turns it from a once-a-year bonus to massive income support, paid out monthly by the Social Security Administration. (The bill text isn’t final, but you can read the Romney team’s summary here.) …”
It is almost like something has changed.
If populist voters now agree on wealth redistribution and could embrace something like the Share Our Wealth agenda along with nods to Trumpism like immigration restriction, anti-globalization and anti-wokeness, what would happen then? It would be worse than Trump, right?
Note: Hispanics seem to really, really hate BLM.
Mitt has to do something to rescue himself with the Utah voters.
His stabbing Trump has Mitt hanging from a tree next election.
I could use that. How do you have a kid?
This would hardly be a wealth transfer from the elites (liberal or otherwise), but it would be another tax on working Whites directly subsidizing non-Whites. Populism in a White, relatively homogenous society, good, Populism in a racially mongrelized society like the current (and future) America, not so much. People need to get real. We’re beyond politics, Whites are being genocided culturally and biologically by a historically hostile elite of “globalists” with a clear agenda and an atavistic hatred or our people.
I grew up around “Hispanics” (Mexicans) and I can assure you that Mexicans HATE blacks, black culture and BLM.
From their perspective (Mexicans I know personally who live in Arizona) they see blacks as lazy and degenerate.
Here are some fun facts about Mexicans you should know.
1. You will NOT find one panhandler in Phoenix or Tucson that is Mexican. Nearly all of the bums and panhandlers in Phoenix and Tucson are black, white, or Indian. Mexicans WORK for their money.
2. Mexicans by and large don’t buy the BS story of blacks being out of work due to “racism” and “white supremacy.” Mexicans know from experience that if you are willing to work everyday, show up on time, and do what you are told, you have a job from any white man or white company. The visible scene everyday in Phoenix and Tuscon of Mexicans going to jobs, while blacks sit around and drink and panhandle, and complain about “discrimination” tells you everything you need to know about race in the US.
3. While George W. Bush overstated and fibbed about Mexicans being “natural conservatives” this much is true: Unlike blacks, (and some whites) Mexicans are strong believers in family and marriage. It is rare, and frowned upon for a Mexican girl to have kids out of wedlock and just “shack up” with men. And God forbid a Mexican girl should take up with a black: many murders in the South West have arisen from those incidents. Mexicans really hate the thought of blacks having sex with their sisters and daughters.
From my viewpoint, having grown up among Mexicans, I think we Whites have much more in common with Mexicans than say, Somalians, or inner-city blacks. That’s just my opinion.
” see blacks as lazy and degenerate.”
That’s a revelation.
“Mexicans WORK for their money.”
Not always, they do plenty of welfare fraud, crime and drug dealing.
I know of phoenix PD officers to arrest Mexicans wi multiple aliases and welfare and unemployment checks, on them.
Are you posting this from 1980?
Hispanic youth/young adults usually copy black people and support BLM. Walk around Houston, Dallas, LA, etc. and you’ll notice that most of them below Gen X age talk and dress exactly like blacks
The Democrats aka the Yang Gang have been right on Universal Basic Income from the very beginning. Now I’d say a majority of Democrats understand that’s a great idea. All these Covid-19 Relief Bills with Economic Stimulus Checks is pretty much a test run on how Universal Basic Income might go. The giant increase in Unemployment Check Payment amounts last Years was dang good for the economy. During a horrible Pandemic and economic shutdown….it really helped the American People. We can have a better Economy by doing the following…..rich people should have less money and everybody else should have more money. That can be done with lower taxes, Universal Basic Income, job creation, higher minimum wage, higher free market style wages…..keep on going. Do whatever it takes so everybody else has more money. This has always been a Populist thing and as many Moderate Republicans get on the ball the better. Deo Vindice !
Mitten’s Mormon Mafia is going to clean up – those blasphemous bastards have anywhere between 6 and 20 kids per couple.
Nope. The average white woman in Utah has 1.99 children. Highest of any US state but on average Mormons don’t have huge families. It is common for Mormons to have above average family size but not huge.
Just great !
The ” breed more muds act & subsidy”.
NC State Board of Education approves new social studies standards
Raleigh, N.C. — The North Carolina State Board of Education has approved new social studies standards for the state’s kindergarten through 12th grades that emphasize the study of more diverse perspectives on history.
The board voted 7-5 in favor of the standards, which opponents feared did not emphasize the study of enough of the country’s progress toward racial equity. Proponents argued the new standards would ensure a more comprehensive and honest history of the U.S. was taught….

Conservatives better come up with an alternate education system either by remote learning or help for home schooling or etc. Hard to compete with state supported radical left-wing indoctrination in the public schools.
The Right needs its own Big Tech, own media, own schools, own manufacturing, etc … own universe.
Romney needs to get out of politics and go to one of his mansions and play with his garage elevator…
“alternate education system either by remote learning or help for home schooling”
Amen, Amen, Amen !
Folks, there’s free money at the US Treasury- get it while you can! Seriously, due to demographic changes but also Covid vamping things up, capitalism is simply dead. White’s better learn to grab from the pile of money while they still can. Here’s your incentive to marry and have children- now just do it…
Romney is a POS. What else is there to say?
