Seattle Businesses Plead With City To Take Action Against Rising Crime

Can you have safety and prosperity and civilization without law and order? LOL no.

Seattle Times:

“Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes conceded on Friday, as he fell further behind his two primary opponents in an election that will bring an end to his 12 years in office.

The result will leave Seattle with a clear-cut choice in November between a law-and-order candidate and an abolitionist who wants to halt most misdemeanor prosecutions.

“After two decades of public service to Seattle — the last 12 as your City Attorney — it’s time to acknowledge that my opponents will be advancing to the general election,” Holmes said in a prepared statement. “While defeat is difficult to accept, it’s inconsequential compared to the collective pain we’ve suffered as a City throughout this pandemic.”

Holmes was in third place after Friday’s vote tallies, with 31% of the vote. He trailed challengers Nicole Thomas-Kennedy, who had 35%, and Ann Davison, who had 33%. …”

Things are getting interesting in Seattle.

Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes lost his race. He is the “progressive prosecutor” who was featured in the Seattle is Dying documentary. He was the moderate in the race.

In November, Seattle voters will have to choose between Ann Davison who is running as a Republican or Nicole Thomas-Kennedy who is a police abolitionist. She came in first place.

  1. Sorry chumps. The only businesses that matter in the new progressive era are those with BlackRock as the largest shareholder. Maybe you could start an onlyfans or learn to code.

  2. Don’t worry, there is plenty of law and order in th U.S. whenever and wherever there needs to be. The world largest (by far, especially per capita) mass surveillance, criminal justice and incarceration industry is certainly NOT withering away. “Law and order” is still waxing not waning in the U.S. and other capitalist states, despite these Fox News hyped anomalies like urban rioting, theft and murder, mere exceptions that prove (justify) the rule (of “law”). Fascism is not dying in the U.S. and its satellites nor is it weak; it is growing, including explicit, outright fascism. (For example I noticed today that far-right Italian politician Giorgia Meloni, a proud member of MSI the direct successor to Mussolini’s fascist party since her youth, and founder of the Neo-fascist party Fratelli d’Italia that already has many seats in the Italian and European parliaments, is being considered for head of government.) Again don’t worry, the crack-down on the exceptions that prove the rule is surely coming. Some small businesses may be hurt or destroyed by the current crime wave that is being allowed to take place, but BIG businesses that you REALLY depend on (like Walmart) are always being taken care of.

Less competition means higher prices. You WANT a lot of companies selling the product you want to purchase.
