If you are a member of the White working class in Northern states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio, the Democratic Party has a Christmas message for your family.
President Barack Hussein Obama will be explicitly abandoning you in his 2012 reelection campaign:
For decades, Democrats have suffered continuous and increasingly severe losses among white voters. But preparations by Democratic operatives for the 2012 election make it clear for the first time that the party will explicitly abandon the white working class.
All pretense of trying to win a majority of the white working class has been effectively jettisoned in favor of cementing a center-left coalition made up, on the one hand, of voters who have gotten ahead on the basis of educational attainment — professors, artists, designers, editors, human resources managers, lawyers, librarians, social workers, teachers and therapists — and a second, substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic.
No, you are not reading The Onion. Even though Obama’s approval rating has dipped below Jimmy Carter’s at this point in his presidency, this is BRA where the 24/7/365 promotion of African-Americans at the expense of other ethnic groups, especially White Southerners, is the reason that our Great Society was created.
Thomas Edsall goes on to say that the priorities of the new Democratic majority coalition will be dispensing with the White working class and taxing them to spend their money on social programs that cater to African-Americans and Hispanics like EBT cards, TANF welfare, and unemployment compensation and pushing for new reforms like restrictive environmental laws, gay marriage, and amnesty for illegal aliens.
Note: It looks like the DNC won’t be giving Midwestern Whites the one last chance. Democratic strategists conceded Indiana a long time ago. Far from embracing protectionism, the Obama administration is trying to create a “new world order” with a US-EU-Japan-Asian Pacific free trade agreement.
Update: The New York Times has a review of Thomas Pegram’s new book One Hundred Percent American: The Rebirth and Decline of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920s and Kelly Baker’s Gospel According to the Klan: The KKK’s Appeal to Protestant America, 1915-1930.
In Yankee Month, we will explore the history of Northern racialism. We will tackle every subject from slavery to segregation to sundown towns to the Second Klan. Northern readers who want to learn more about their own racial heritage can always send me books to review.
