What’s the Matter With South Carolina Part II – Jim DeMint?

Can Hunter Wallace and some of our True Southron posters please give us some insight in to what’s going on with former South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint?

Jim DeMint now heads the Heritage Foundation – once considered the flagship “conservative” think tank in Washington, DC. The name suggests some concern with American “heritage” (i.e., supporting public policy that wouldn’t bring race replacement immigration genocide on the tradition American people). This week the Heritage Foundation caved to SPLC witch hunt for R-A-C-I-S-T-S (only Whites can be racists, the National Council of La Raza – THE RACE isn’t racist) and forced Jason Richwine to resign.

The Washington Post reports:

“Jason Richwine, the co-author of a controversial immigration study released this week by the Heritage Foundation, tells Post Politics that he has resigned his position with the organization.
“Yes, that’s right,” Richwine wrote in a brief e-mail. Heritage confirmed that he resigned.
The study written by Richwine and Robert Rector argued that the immigration reform bill would cost $6.3 trillion, but it was widely panned by conservative groups pushing for immigration reform as not accounting for the economic benefits of immigrants. Complicating matters were a series of revelations about Richwine, including that he had written a doctoral thesis at Harvard University arguing that the United States should focus its immigration efforts on those with high IQs”

So what’s going on with South Carolinian Heritage Foundation President Jim Demint? Why is he pandering to the worst Cultural Marxist Democrats and firing (or forced to resign) Jason Richwine for publishing a study showing the proposed mass amnesty, open the immigration floodgates to the Third World will be expensive to taxpayers. And horrors, of horrors, this “conservative” think tank researcher once published a PhD thesis arguing that American immigration policy should favor intelligent immigrants and discourage very low IQ immigrants.

Does the Heritage Foundation now believe US immigration policy should favor importing stupid people with no job skills?

I wrote an article published here on OD asking: “What’s the Matter With South Carolina?”

South Carolina, once the heart of the Southern Confederacy, resisted BRA, flew the Confederate battle flag in Columbia. But now, South Carolina doesn’t have a straight White Southerner as governor or senator. South Carolina’s governor is Nikki Haley – born Nimrata Nikki Randhawa in Bamberg, South Carolina to an Indian Sikh family. Her parents, Ajit Singh Randhawa and Raj Kaur Randhawa, are immigrants from Amritsar District, Punjab, India.

South Carolina senator Tim Scott – the first black Senator from South Carolina since Reconstruction – was a clear affirmative action appointee to replace Jim DeMint. Then there is flaming queer as a $3 bill Senator Lindsey Graham, who’s made it some type of messianic mission to racially replace White Southerners through massive Hispanic and non-White immigration. Now we have Jim DeMint and the Heritage Foundation pandering and groveling to the SPLC, Jewess Cultural Marxists at the Washington Post.

So what gives?

Southern men could once be counted on to live lives of Southern honor, defend the legitimate rights of our people, defend our nation’s heritage, particularly “Southern Heritage.” Here’s a good quote about Southern honor:

“A man ought to fear God, and mind his business. He should be respectful and courteous to all women; he should love his friends, and hate his enemies… eat when hungry, drink when thirsty, dance when merry, and knock down any man who questioned his right to these privileges.”

Bertram Wyatt Brown, Southern Honor: Ethics and Behavior in the Old South

Sounds good to me. So what happened to Southern honor in South Carolina? What should be done to Jim DeMint falling down very badly at The Heritage Foundation?

  1. A major part of the problem is that probably a third or more of the White population of SC is not Southern and has no loyalty to our traditions, culture, or values. In my area the number is much higher. In town it seems like every other car is from up North or out West. Very few people there have a Southern accent. All the political candidates for office are Northern transplants and very moderate to liberal on racial issues even if they are Republicans. These types run the local GOP and fund candidates. They rule this area culturally and politically. I utterly despise them

  2. PalmettoPatriot – I just don’t see it that way for S.C.

For Virginia – the Old Dominion, sure – sprawling Washington D.C. Suburbs, or North Carolina – Duke and North Carolina out of staters moving to this “New South”. South Florida is Midwestern retirees, New Yawk, New Jersey (Jew) transplants, Hispanic immigrants, but not South Carolina.

GOP presidential candidates in the South Carolina GOP primary all campaign as if the state is very White Southern Conservative. All express support for strong immigration laws/policies…. until the South Carolina primary is over. Exist polls show that White South Carolina voters thought “their guy” (John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, Newt Gingerich) were all very good on border security, immigration control. These White South Carolina voters simply didn’t know the horrible facts about immigration treason.

I would serious bet that most White South Carolina voters don’t think US Senator Lindsey Graham is an open borders, Ted Kennedy in drag Liberal Democrat. It’s not Yankeee transplants for in the likes of Lindsey Graham and making South Carolina the only state without a straight, White male in the office of Governor, US Senate.

And what’s with Jim DeMint? He was never a White hating Lib Dem before he got to the Heritage Foundation.

What’s the matter with South Carolina?

  3. Jack, you don’t live here. I was born here. I can instantly tell natives from non-natives. I’m not saying that all of the transplants are bad people. I’m saying their views on race are very different than ours. And even the more pro-South ones (who are rare) view the cultural/demographic war going on here from an outsider’s position.

Also, business interests here have a huge impact on politics. A few major companies (Boeing, Bridgestone, BMW, etc – none of which are native to SC) basically own the GOP or at least the GOP acts as if that were the case.

  4. Boeing keep north st Louis from turning completely black. employing techie whites is something that company is especially useful for.

  5. So what happened to Southern honor in South Carolina?

Is this a serious question on a blog that had devoted so much time to civil war, reconstruction and civil rights? Yankees happened.

  6. In the case of Jim DeMint, I would bet money that key donors at the Heritage Foundation made enough noise to force Richwine out. He works for a DC-based conservative organization. I know other people who have been forced out of their jobs up there for similar reasons.

  7. In South Carolina, the upcountry is a hotbed of evangelical Christianity, but the lowcountry is a very different place. See McCain vs. Huckabee in 2008 or Romney vs. Gingrich in 2012.

McCain and Romney performed better in the low country because there are fewer social conservatives there. Ever since the Cold War, the South Carolina low country has become a heavily militarized region that has attracted transplants from all across the country who have changed the culture of the region.

The same is true of the Norfolk-Hampton Roads-Chesapeake region in Virginia. The reason Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina get such a prominent role in picking the GOP nominee is because Iowa is a social conservative state, New Hampshire is an economic conservative state, and South Carolina is a “defense conservative” state.

Lindsay Graham’s neocon warmongering is nothing more than a symptom of the militarization of the South Carolina lowcountry’s economy which is loaded with “defense” installations.

  8. 1.) Where are there so many immigrants like Nikki Haley and illegal aliens in South Carolina? Because of the existence of the Union.

2.) Why does Jim Clyburn represent South Carolina in the House of Representatives? How can someone like Alvin Greene be a serious contender for statewide office in South Carolina? Because of the existence of the Union.

3.) Why is there so much militarism and warmongering in South Carolina? Because of the existence of the Union.

  9. As for Nikki Haley and Tim Scott, I believe Scott voted against the DREAM Act and can be relied upon to oppose “comprehensive immigration reform,” and Haley signed (and defended) South Carolina’s immigration law.

What about Dick Durbin? That White Catholic has spearheaded both the DREAM Act and “comprehensive immigration reform” for much of the last decade. Why did Illinois elect Obama to the Senate?

That whole area from Maine to Minnesota is the reason why we have two terms of Obama, the reason why we have the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the reason why we have the Immigration Act of 1965, and it is the reason why we will soon have gay marriage, gun control, and amnesty for illegal aliens.

A single deviant like Lindsay Graham could be easily marginalized, replaced, or defeated in a Southern Congress, but so long as the Union exists, a handful of such deviants can combine with a solid phalanx of Northern liberals to burden the whole country with every destructive idea imaginable.

  10. Southern politicians used to be Democrats, became Republicans, but like all American politicians are mainly interested in the federal dollar. The price of the federal dollar is you go along on certain things. Robert Byrd wanted as much federal money as he could get for West Virginia and saw the only way to do that was get right with the NAACP. Politicians are not going to save us.

  11. “What about Dick Durbin?”

The other Illinois US Senator is a near brain dead, stroke victim White GOP give in to queer marriage and mass amnesty Sen. Kirk. My nephew worked for him and is now giving up in discust.

Hunter, that’s not a very strong defense of the racial treason of South Carolina to say:

“Yeah, but Illinois is as bad or worse”.

My last three Black Congressmen in the 2nd Congressional district have been forced to resign – Jessie Jackson Jr. being the latest, for doing stupid TNB things like using campaign funds to buy mink capes for himself. What kind of man dresses in a mink cape?

The point of this post is that we should expect a whole lot better from the state of South Carolina that should be one of THE best states for Southern Nationalism, racial realism.

Why doesn’t South Carolina have a single straight Southern man in the offices of Governor, US Senate?

How can one of the leading Gang of 8 immigration traitors be a flaming queer Lindsey Graham from South Carolina?

Proud men of the South Carolina South once killed thousands of Midwesterners, White buys from New Hampshire to defend their honor, defend the South.

Why is Lindsey Graham the US Senator from South Carolina and why does former Conservative South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint getting paid a $1 million a year to head the Heritage Foundation, why is he backing down, kissing as* to the likes of Rachiel Maddow, the SPLC, Washington Post?

    Wow.

A very shameful week for the state of South Carolina.

    • South Carolina actually has an immigration law.

Aside from Arizona and Alabama, South Carolina has the toughest immigration law in America, what’s left of it. It was signed into law by Nikki Haley. Tim Scott, the black Senator, voted against the DREAM Act in 2010, and will probably vote against “comprehensive immigration reform,” too. Even Lindsay Graham voted against the DREAM Act in 2010.

But anyway, there is only one reason we are even having this debate: the existence of the Union with the Northern states. That’s because the whole phalanx of Northern states from Maine to Minnesota (with the exception of Indiana) voted for Obama in the 2012 election. Virtually every Northern senator can be counted on to support “comprehensive immigration reform” which is the only chance it has to pass the U.S. Senate.

It was Senator Lyman Trumbell of Illinois who gave us the Civil Rights Act of 1866 – the first “civil rights” bill in American history – and it was Abraham Lincoln, also of Illinois, who waged war to destroy the Confederacy. In the 1960s, Sen. Everett Dirksen of Illinois was also a key supporter of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Because of the existence of the Union, we have open borders (Immigration Act of 1965), we have already had one amnesty (1986 IRCA amnesty) we have “the first black president” (Obama), we have the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (95% of Southerners in Congress voted against it), we have the Brown decision (which engaged the South), and we have the black voter (Voting Rights Act of 1965) and gerrymandered black majority congressional districts.

The federal government has usurped control of public education and all kinds of powers from the states. Through federal spending and ties attached to federal spending, it has introduced countless rackets into the South, especially through military spending. In both Alabama and South Carolina, the segregationist electorate was destroyed by the Voting Rights Act, which shifted power to the suburbs.

So, your answer is that the existence of the Union pushes the political spectrum ever further to the Left, whether it is through federal spending, creating black voters, sabotaging and undermining the White family, throwing open the borders and deluging the conservative parts of the country with non-White immigrants, etc.

Were it not for the Union, there would be 1.) no Obama, 2.) no black voters, 3.) no “civil rights” legislation, 4.) no military spending rackets, 5.) no millions of illegal aliens here, and 6.) no chance of amnesty in any form, which could never pass a Southern Congress, but which would pass a Northern Congress tomorrow in a landslide.

As for Jim DeMint, there is no proof that DeMint had anything to do with forcing out Richwine. That’s standard operating procedure for DC-based organizations, which are controlled by big money donors, and has happened to countless people affiliated with all kinds of organizations there.

      • The Indian governor and the negro senator in South Carolina … are, guess what, actually better on immigration than all the worthless White Catholics in the Northern states like Dick Durbin and Patrick Leahy who have been pushing this nonsense for years and years now. Were it not for them, it wouldn’t even be an issue.

      • “White Nationalism” is retarded because it is White people in the Northern states who are the main impediment to “White Nationalism” in this country. They are the ones who go out and vote for Jewish Senators and Democrats like Obama over and over again. It’s not because they are “brainwashed by the media” either. The same media isn’t taken seriously in other parts of the country.

For over a 130 years, the Northeast has pushed America ever further to the Left. Go back a 100 years and you will find them creating the NAACP. Go back 150 years ago and they were doing it (whether it was praising John Brown, enfranchising the negro, opposing Indian Removal, engaging in civil disobedience against the Mexican War, etc). Even 200 years ago they were repealing anti-miscegenation laws.

  12. There was about a half-hour this morning on MSNBC about the 1948 Rump Convention- amazing footage. The subtitles on the telly read something like “much has been made of Obama’s struggle with the white vote but he actually did ok up North.” This segued into a discussion of the “NRA – Confederacy” and the panel was asked when the South will “realize they need gay marriage”. This was the Sunday edition of “UP” with some Polish named guy hosting.

  13. One other thing, Hunter — Abraham Lincoln was in fact from Kentucky and his parents were from Virginia. So that would make him… a native Southerner!

Abraham Lincoln — The Southern president who defeated the South and freed the slaves!

  14. It’s all just a smokescreen to obscure the reality that WE ALREADY HAD “mass amnesties” FOR YEARS and the question isn’t whether “we’re ready to embrace becoming third world,” but which version of the third world it should be.

  15. PP, they do not see family or society in the same way. The main difference hinges, seemingly on them being more fascist (in the real sense of Militarist=Corporatist). Everything is done in big, splashy cookie=cutter strip mall kinds of ways. Everything uniform. They see the miles of Mcmansion latino tract homes, seas of uninhabited exactly-the-same 3-4000 square foot home, with matching landscaping as ‘improvement.’ (I guess b/c they are gracing the uncouth southerners with their glorified presence.)

  16. Dixiegirl, I might be considered a northern anomaly, since (I think) I see things your way on preserving traditional family and society, and opposing the invasion of depraved city people and their shopping malls and housing developments.

  17. “All these problems” also correlate with population density and urban-cosmopolitan “culture,” as well as with location outside “Dixie.” The most liberal states such as California and Massachussetts are (with FEW exceptions, including Vermont) the most urbanized (larger percentage of their populations living in cities and other urban settings) and the most conservative states such as Mississippii and West Virginia are generally the most rural.

  18. But the Southron versus Yankee hypothesis seems to explain Vermont better than the rural-traditional versus urban-cosmopolitan hypothesis.

  19. The existence of the Union is what is behind all our misfortunes.

Just the other day, I wrote a review of a chapter in a book about the Civil Rights Movement, which showed how the existence of the Union – through federal courts enfranchising blacks and systematically gutting segregation laws – destroyed the White working class electorate in Birmingham in 1963.

The same thing happened in Montgomery and Selma. In Huntsville, the federal government told the city leaders that it was going to shutdown NASA there. That’s why Huntsville capitulated to integration without much of a fight.

Again and again, the segregationists won at the state and local level, but were undone at the federal level: JFK federalized the Alabama National Guard in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa to force integration, the Alabama state legislature banned the NAACP, sued the New York Times for libel, and defiantly passed more segregation laws in the 1950s and 1960s than ever before.

All that was swept away by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The segregationists could sweep state and local elections and silence White liberals in Alabama, but what proved fatal to Jim Crow was federal judges like Earl Warren and Frank Johnson.

  20. Isn’t Patrick Leahy the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee?

This piece of shit Roman Catholic from Vermont has been in the Senate for decades. He was there when the Senate passed the 1986 amnesty. How many elections has he won in Vermont?

  21. @ Jack Ryan:
Jack said: “Why is Lindsey Graham the US Senator from South Carolina and why does former Conservative South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint getting paid a $1 million a year to head the Heritage Foundation, why is he backing down, kissing as* to the likes of Rachiel Maddow, the SPLC, Washington Post?”

If we can’t elect senators we can elect local sheriffs.
In Highlands County Fl we have a Democrat female sheriff. When I went after the SPLC’s goon tactics in court here the next thing I knew I was targeted for a drug possession entrapment.

    [PLAINTIFF=WHITE, PHILLIP L DEFENDANT=DEES, MORISS DEFENDANT=COHEN, RICHARD DEFENDANT=POTOK, MARK DEFENDANT=BEIRICH, HEIDI DEFENDANT=SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTER, ]
    [JUDGE=LANGFORD, J DAVID]

Fortunately I didn’t pick up the packet of “grass” a black city worker “just happened to notice at our feet.”

If enough White Nationalist moved to a rural county we could elect the sheriff.
About 60% of eligible voters turn out for presidential elections, and only half that for local elections.
In the coming times of troubles the most important official for us will be the county sheriff.

  22. How can someone like Alvin Greene be a serious contender for statewide office in South Carolina?

Damn but his campaign made for some truly hilarious and enjoyable times on this site 🙂

  23. If the Union was dissolved, the recovery would begin tomorrow. The natural antibodies in the South’s White conservative culture would begin to heal and reverse all the damage that has been done for decades now.

Just imagine what the state legislatures could do without the federal courts. It would be the equivalent of the blacks losing their air cover. They would be decimated and marginalized in a thousand different ways.

It took less than 10 years after the Plessy decision. The 1901 Constitution in Alabama disenfranchised almost all of them.

  24. At the federal level, there was a fight in Congress over integration, and the segregationists lost because 90% of House and Senate members from outside the South voted for integration.

  25. Given the level of Negro Fatigue in the rest of the country, you might not even have to get rid of the Union; you’d just have to get rid of the Federal judiciary and its unjust nullification of legitimately-passed state laws.

  26. SC is the Jew beach-head of the South. They are beginning to flee the messes they’ve made in the NorthEast, and elswhere. SC is the Southern VT.

It’s the Jews. Look it up.

  27. Of course I agree The Union, or Federal tyranny, is a very bad thing, Hunter.

There are other correlatives of “all these problems” to consider, besides South-ness and North-ness (see my previous comment) in case the secession doesn’t happen — and remember, all true conservatives everywhere want to be free from The Union!

  28. One way to stop the invasion of the urban multiculturalists would be to eliminate all air conditioning. No more air conditioning and they will stop coming, and begin to leave.

  29. I should have written: “…the invasion of the urban elite money-culturalists…” — which is more accurate, since other invading groups might not be deterred by the experience of summer heat and humidity. But if the head is turned away, the rest of the invading body may follow.

  30. “US Joins Forces With Al-Queda (Al-CIA(duh) in Syria” comes in at no 12 on Project Censored PC.

    http://www.projectcensored.org/

The ZOG/Israeli/al-Quenda insurgency in Syria is specifically targeting the Syrian Christians, specifically the Syrian Orthodox Church which the Shi’ ite Assad gov’t is trying to protect. Bibi is over the red line. That explosion was almost certainly a mini-Israeli nuke. No wonder the calls for the international equivalent of gun control falls on deaf ears in Iran.

  31. “The price of the federal dollar is that you go along on certain things.” … “It’s the Jews. Look it up.” The preceding observations summarize the situation. What can awaken White men from their political slumber of drinking of beer and watching packs of blacks chasing a ball?
The death knell of the Republican Party is they don’t want to go hunting where the ducks are. – Pat Buchanan
The elites and the masses are controlled by fear, greed, habits, and appetites. What is the only way to awaken Whites politically? FEAR!
http://www.press.uchicago.edu/Misc/Chicago/675831.html The Haitian Revolution: An Eyewitness
Liberals are wrong about race, group conflict, and human nature. Tell the truth about race to use FEAR to reawaken White racism.

  32. We are likely to split up anyway. Some sage, probably Crain Brenton, once wrote: “There has been a revolution in the English speaking world every two centuries or less for the last thousand years, with a total over throw of the political system and a complete redistribution of political power, always accompanied by violence and usually accompanied by massive violence.”
    1861 was the last revolution.
Republicans only use white racial interest votes to get enough political power to vote Mitt Romey’s low capital gains rates.
Democrats only use white working class votes to get enough political power to vote Jewish sponsored mass immigration/assimilation.
We need a new party that doesn’t totally stiff the working and middle class and that won’t pander to Jewish “Techum”, or what ever it is Jews call changing America.

  33. Slight correction to the Brenton quote: “…accompanied by violence or the threat of violence and usually accompanied by massive violence.”

  34. Jim DeMint is a traitor. As more time goes on, the more evidence there will be. He voted “Yeah” to the NDAA right there along with slimeball Lindsey ‘TippyToes’ Graham.

Our (white) problem is that desperation blurs the vision. We are very consistent at grasping at straws. The Heritage Foundation does not work in our best interests and no white person should be supporting it. Ever.

  35. Demint was only a ‘good’ Senator when compared to Lindsey LiteLoafers. Demint’s office actually actively lied when I called them about demint’s vote for the confirmation of the Commie Panetta. He is weak.

  36. De Mint and Graham are TRAITIORS; DeMint and Graham are SOUTHERNERS.

Sorry, Hunter, but eighth raters are what they are, regardless of their birthplace.

  37. http://www.ushistory.org/more/sun.htm:

The Rising Sun Armchair (George Washington’s Chair)
    Rising Sun Armchair

George Washington used this chair for nearly three months of the Federal Convention’s continuous sessions. James Madison reported Benjamin Franklin saying, “I have often looked at that behind the president without being able to tell whether it was rising or setting……

  38. A big part of the problem is Southern arrogance and self-mythologizing. It’s on display here.

  39. LOL, I didn’t know that Chris, so Abe Lincoln was southern stock.
LBJ and Bill Clinton were also men of the south.

  40. My favorite “man of the south” is faggot, Lindsey Graham. Another southern sell out.
Or, Marco Rubio, the “white hispanic”

Do you have any evidence that suggesst that Yankee liberalism is caused by their urbanism?

Since Yankees are typically urban and Southrons are typically rural, or course there is a correlation between urban areas being liberal and rural areas being conservative.
