Poll Watch: Voters See Democracy In Peril, But Saving It ISN’T a Priority

American Democracy is in peril.

MAGA Republicans are “semi-fascists” who intend to destroy Our Democracy.

After all the important work of the 1/6 Committee, the latest New York Times / Siena College poll shows that 7% of voters see saving American Democracy as their top issue while only 5% of voters see abortion as their top issue. All of these people are establishment liberals or progressive activists.

New York Times:

“Voters overwhelmingly believe American democracy is under threat, but seem remarkably apathetic about that danger, with few calling it the nation’s most pressing problem, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll.

In fact, more than a third of independent voters and a smaller but noteworthy contingent of Democrats said they were open to supporting candidates who reject the legitimacy of the 2020 election, as they assigned greater urgency to their concerns about the economy than to fears about the fate of the country’s political system. …

Seventy-one percent of all voters said democracy was at risk — but just 7 percent identified that as the most important problem facing the country. …”

  1. The overwhelming majority of Americans don’t have a clear definition of what democracy means today. It means the government doesn’t care what you do. You just aren’t allowed to have power. If you don’t come close to power, then you’re irrelevant, and if anything you can help the people in power by serving as a boogieman they whine about. But if you start to gain traction, they will just shut you down. This is what democracy is all about: enshrining the entrenched status quo.

Living in a “democracy”, there is literally nothing the government can’t do to us. In a “democracy”, you have no ability to petition grievances, because the act of voting is supposed to be the petition. This is of course why jews, homosexuals, and women love democracy: they are able to force their sickening agenda on the majority. They can get away with anything.

  2. Saw one poll that showed that, even among the scant few people who think that “MAGA threat to democracy” is going to motivate their partisan voting decision, 36% of them said that it will make them vote Republican. Compared to 38% for Democrat, and 27% for no difference.

Chew on that for a minute, or an hour.

    • Everything the scumbags in charge since WWII have used to discredit their opponents has now failed, they have nothing left. De-platforming, closed bank accounts, public ridicule, lawfare, bribery, controlled opposition etc., everything has been used up. Their misbegotten reign has been a long, corrupt, destructive one with their precious “democracy” but it’s coming to and end; it’s long past its sell-by date, it’s rotten to the core.

      • I do think our side is getting close to positive critical mass. But I don’t think we’re there yet. Once we hit it, then there will be literally nothing they can do to stop us. OTOH, the rest of this decade will be the true test to what our ruling class enemies are made of, whether they’re as strategic, tactical, intelligent, schemey and 3D chess-y as I sometimes think they are, or whether they’re mere unrepentant dyed in the wool cultist true believer ideologues who rely purely on brute force of one form or another as other times I think them. I think they can still stop us, and I’ve thought of a few ways how. But, that stays strictly under the vest. I want to see in the long run what the ultimate answer is, and when this all pans out, I’ll be able to compare what transpires to what’s under my vest. That, and I’m not in the business of teaching our enemies how to defeat us.

  3. Fuck their “democracy”, it’s just another name for mob rule. The Founding Fathers recognized this, and so should we.
