We don’t know yet how this is ultimately going to shake out. Matt Gaetz has thrown the House into chaos without any clear alternative to Kevin McCarthy.
If someone like Jim Jordan becomes Speaker of the House and kills Ukraine aid, then it will be worth it. Last night, the buzz was that Byron Donalds had the best chance of becoming the next Speaker of the House. Today, the buzz is that the next Speaker could be Steve Scalise or Jim Jordan. Sure, Kevin McCarthy sucks, but so does at least half of the Republican caucus. It could be a lot worse.
I agree with Marge that the most important thing is killing Ukraine aid. I don’t expect a deal will be cut with Democrats that will do shit about the border or that Joe Biden would honor it.
I wanted the shutdown and peace and quiet, **** the federal government and their billionaire overlords and their bond villain agendas. America performing a function that is a legit process is peak NatSoc. Consume more meth democrats (which is normal when they can’t get adderall).

Isn’t Taiwan part of China? That was the position of the Taiwan government in Taipei and the position of the CCP government in Peking until recently. It was also the official position of the U.S. Government until 1979 when the U.S. Government moved its embassy from Taipei to Peking.
The quarrel wasn’t whether or not Taiwan was part of China, both sides agreed on that. The quarrel was over which government was the legitimate government of all China, the government in Peking or the government in Taipei. The U.S. position was officially that the the government in Taipei was the legitimate government of all China and that included Taiwan.
After the embassy was moved from Taipei to Peking in 1979 the position of the U.S. Government regarding whether Taiwan was part of China was intentionally made ambiguous with the U.S. Government pursuing a so-called “Two China” policy. The 1979 understanding with the CCP government in Peking was that the so-called “Two China” policy was temporary, that over time some sort of arrangement would be made to peacefully unify Taiwan with the mainland and the U.S. would not promote Taiwan independence. As a practical matter of course Taiwan is now a de facto independent nation in all but name, something intolerable to the CCP government in Peking. .
There was a civil war in China, the rich versus the poor. The rich lost and fled to Taiwan. All the poor Chinese wanted was fair treatment from their government, their ruling elites, the Taiwanese, and they were rebuffed. There remains animosity between the two groups. Chao is an elitist and has great contempt for the poor, be they Chinese or white working class people.

The best outcome would see President Donald Trump elected to the Speakership. The leverage that would come with that would cause the Leftwing revolution to come to a screeching halt.

The Speaker is not required to a member of Congress, he can be any U.S. citizen eligible to hold Federal office.

There is no rule that one needs to be a congressman to be Speaker of the House. Just like one doesn’t need to be a lawyer to be a US Supreme Court Justice.

Republicans have controlled the house for much of the last 30 years, have any of the leaders moved anything conservative forward? The only thing I’ve seen them do, is start wars for other people’s kids to fight in and cut taxes for rich people. There’s 33 trillion in federal debt, and the conservative’s finger prints are all over it. They don’t even pass budgets the way they’re supposed to, with this continuing resolution bullshit.
The only time they try to cut anything is something for poor people, the weakest among us.
Maybe Trump could be Speaker for awhile, none of these guys have exactly been George Washington.
