Don Jr. and Charlie Kirk Arrive In Greenland

We’ve entered a new era of American history.

Donald Trump has overthrown the liberal establishment.

Liberal internationalism, which has guided our foreign policy from the New Deal to the war in Ukraine, is also dead. MAGA wants to return to the days of national expansion at the expense of a NATO ally. Evidently, Trump is serious about the acquisition of Greenland. He isn’t joking.

This is a radical break from the last 75 years of American foreign policy.

Note: I’m not endorsing this attempt to purchase Greenland so much as reacting to the fact that it is an abrupt change. It is not really surprising because Arctic shipping lanes are expected to open up in the near future. This is being driven by competition with Russia which is building new ports on its Arctic coast. The warming of the Arctic is expected to be a modern day gold rush.

    The USA will NOT acquire Greenland.

    The whole purpose of this stunt is to normalize the concept of expansion, to pave the way for the Israeli annexation of the West Bank.

        • The US has more than enough issues than going on a tour taking things when it can’t even claim to be in control of itself. When the US was young, expansion of a vitalistic people on the frontiers is to be expected, NOW, no. This is sad fodder for the losers that make up the MAGA movement, the sugar high that always precedes the crash and the inevitable nap that comes from it all. Orange man is melatonin, why they ever conspired to kick him out when he did so much towards keeping his supporters docile for 4 years, I’ll never know. Stupidity, one can only guess.

          Here’s the million dollar question, the “United States” gets Greenland but what US companies get the rights to exploit its resources? Like the “British Empire” got South Africa and carved out a sphere of influence in China but who got to exploit it all under the Union Jack? Oppenheimers and Sassoons.

        • American expansionism made sense from 1607-1890.

          During that time Americans were acquiring sparsely inhabited, temperate zone territory which was destined to be inhabited by a majority of White Americans.

          Then came a very different type of expansionism in 1899. Densely populated tropical islands which would obviously never have a White American majority population were annexed – Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Samoa, Guam and the Philippines. This was done contrary to the real interests of the American people because a segment of the elite, including Teddy Roosevelt, wanted to imitate the British Empire.

          Now Trump is spewing pseudo-expansionist talk about ill-advised acquisitions (Greenland, Canada, Canal Zone) which would diminish America’s homogeneity and drive our politics to the left.

          We can only speculate why.

          Maybe to distract attention away from the profound differences between his base and his donors on the most important policies. The base wants an immigration moratorium, but the donors want cheap labor. The base wants a non-interventionist foreign policy, but the donors want wars for Israel. Maybe Greenland is being dangled in front of our eyes as a gawdy bauble to distract our attention from the really important issues.

          Or maybe talk of America annexing Greenland is meant to prepare public opinion for the Israeli annexation of the West Bank, North Gaza, Mount Hermon, Litani River etc. The post-WW2 international legal consensus against annexation is the only remaining obstacle to Israeli expansionism. Talk of American aggression in Panama or expansion in Greenland undermines the existing international norms – which is exactly what Netanyahu wants.

  3. This is…terrible. It means a deepening of ZOG. It is foreign interventionism. This is the exact kind of thing 2016 Trump was against.

    Nothing remains of 2016 MAGA. All the white blood was bled out of it and has been replaced with a “conservative” version of liberal mongrelism. Which is to say there is little discernable difference between the “old” Conservatism of Bush and the rest, and this canard besides a veneer of reality tv melodrama. It’s just a trashier version of the old Conservative Inc.

    Is it any coincidence that all of this superficial realignment is happening during the conclusion of the Gaza collapse? We are supposed to believe that global Jewish power via America is receding at the same time that Israli power is greater than ever before? If American Jewery is so weak, how did the massive domestic crackdown over Gaza happen so totally and so swiftly? We all saw the incredible energy of liberals and Democrats over the past 10 years and even before that with the Obama era, but now they…disappear into thin air. Right after Gaza collapsed. That is a coincidence?

    None of this adds up. Musk spilled the beans a little too hard on the Indian question, which was really the White question, and then he immediately pivots to…British gangraping, a decades old issue that no one refuses to seriously address.

  5. “The warming of the Arctic”, you actually wrote that?

    The Chinese and Russians are building out the Arctic trade route based on Russian nuclear powered ice breakers. They would like some warming and ice melting, but it hadn’t happened. Arctic ice has been increasing slowly. But the new ice breakers have been successful, so China is on board, so the Northern Route is open.

    The new Chabad regime in Washington wants to stop it. Jews want it all. But the current insane president elect won’t last long. An event will be arranged for him. Vance is their man.

  6. It’s not going to happen, but Greenland would benefit from closer ties with the US and Canada. There are massive rare metals waiting to be mined but the Danes are sitting pretty on all the cash they are bringing in selling fat people Ozempic and Weygovy so see little reason to allow an arctic mining enterprise which is sure to bring the ire of the wealthy, comfy rich white liberals and their environmental hobby horse. The Greenlanders are finishing up three brand new international airports for direct flights from North America and Europe to the population centers in the Capital, the southern cities, and the town near the glacier sourcing most of the North Atlantic icebergs that is set to become a tourist area. Before you had to fly to an old military base in the middle of nowhere and then take small prop planes to short runways that wouldn’t serve larger jets. There are tourist videos of visits and besides the whale and seal meat in the butcher’s department in the local grocery store the filmmakers were surprised how reasonable the grocery prices were for somewhere so remote. I’ve seen another guy go to Barrow AK and the price of groceries was just shy of gold.

    • The only real result of this stunt will be increased tourism for Greenland.

      The Greenlanders understand this, which is why they are happy to see Trump Jr. visit.

      In the meantime, the only real MAGA voice on the transition team, Donald Trump Jr., is absent from transition team meetings. What swamp creatures is Howard Lutnick appointing to obscure yet vitally posts while Don Jr. gawks at icebergs?
