My Catholic Bible has 73 books while the King James Bible (which became so ubiquitous) has only 66 books. Both have 27 New Testament books. However, while the Catholic Bible has 46 Old Testament Books, the King James version has only 39.
Why, where the Book of Maccabees is concerned, were these books taken out in KJV? Well, prior to the execution of King Charles I, England was still Jew-Free from the time Edward Longshanks was forced to expel them. The traitor, Oliver Cromwell, got financing from Manasseh Ben Israel of Holland to depose his king. England was the first country whose monarch the Jews sought to depose. Naturally the “Lord Protector” of England had to let them back in where they have been ever since.
Prior to that, after the Calvinists took over the Scottish throne, a new Bible was created in honor of King James I. It deleted several books of the Old Testament, particularly the Book of Maccabees which illustrated how Edomite converts to Judaism managed to take Judaism over as their own after John Hyrcaneus forcibly converted Edom to Judaism. Alexander Jannaeus also forcibly converted Galilee known as the Land of the Gentiles (where Jesus Christ was raised). Both Joseph and Mary lived in Nazareth and supposedly both of them are alleged direct descendants of King David.
In any case, Herod, along with other Edomites managed to intermarry with many high-ranking Jews – Herod himself marrying directly into the Hasmoneans himself. Of course, he assassinated many of them, including his wife. So, it is very easy to conclude that the King James version was authorized, written and widely distributed to hide the real identity of the surviving Jews after the second temple was destroyed.
That’s why it’s hard for me to approach them with the same reverence as Protestant Evangelists (who routinely cite King James further modified by the adulterous crook, Cyrus Scofield). I don’t know how much of this is also powered by the British Israelite Movement.
I tend to view myself and OTHER people of European stock from the tribe of Japeth, the father of Europe. This is a fundamental misunderstanding by you folk, including Hunter, about how these groups in the USA, especially the Southron part, views the world. Hunter is literally typecast out of some Joe McCarthy era Papist Midwesterner. It’s at odds with his ancestral background but there will always be outliers in whatever ethnic group and he is one. Ultimately, this is why LoS and other Southron oriented movements failed.
