Trump on Jon Husted: "I don’t do this with men very often. I started examining his body, because I didn’t know he was a great athlete … I looked at his ass" https://t.co/VD8jJpireB

Johnson: Something is happening. It feels like 2024. The polling is not reflecting this. The polling is not letting everyone know what is really happening. They are under sampling Republicans. How many of you have entered a political poll in the last six months? Nobody. I go to airplane hangars and big arenas like this all over the country. I can’t find anyone who comes to our events who has entered a poll.

Again, folks, you can hate the media and not believe their polls—even though, the right is now trashing pollsters who have accurately gauged their support because we also show them down—you can’t argue with the reality of where GOP is spending time and money. https://t.co/J3p53YUF8t

Axios: Top Trump operative enlisted to rescue Kansas senator’s campaign A top Trump political operative has been tapped to help boost Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall’s campaign in the weeks before the Nov. 3 election, the latest sign of how Republicans are scrambling to defend the red-state seat. The hiring of veteran strategist Chris Grant reflects the GOP’s growing anxiety over Kansas’ Senate race. Marshall is running neck and neck with Democrat Adam Hamilton in a state President Trump won by 16 points in 2024. https://t.co/GGtQunzv2m

Axios: Dems’ red-state showings raise prospect of a bigger 2028 map Move over Wisconsin and Arizona. With Democrats making Republicans sweat in a host of red-state Senate races, a new batch of swing states may be emerging. Some of the closest Senate races are in Nebraska, Ohio, Texas, Iowa and even Kansas. Sure, this could be a blip — or a reminder that it’s a 50-50 moody nation, even in a bunch of red states. TRAINWRECK UPDATE:
1. The big takeaway from Trump’s rally in Ohio is the high esteem in which he holds Sen. John Husted’s ass. You can’t make this up. Husted is unlikely to hang on in Ohio.
2. FOX News has basically written off Republicans holding the House and has shifted 18 seats toward Democrats in the last 24 hours.
3. Cook Political Report has moved four governor races toward Democrats.
4. The GOP is spending heavily in House races that Trump won by over 10 points and is starting to write off some Republican incumbents in the House. The GOP has already conceded the North Carolina Senate race in order to reallocate spending to try to rescue Roger Marshall in Kansas.
5. The GOP is spending heavily to save Sen. Pete Ricketts in Nebraska.
6.Trump’s unpopularity is dragging the party down everywhere.
7. Gallup has Democrats up in favorability over Republicans.
8. Texas, Alaska, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, Iowa and South Carolina are the new tier of swing states.
9. Finally, I will reiterate the magnitude of this disaster is so bad that MAGA can’t even cope by falling back on Rasmussen polling. Keep in mind that Mark Mitchell was fired for refusing to fluff up Trump and even their map has the GOP losing six Senate seats.
