Washington Post: To Hell With The Southern Belle

By Hunter Wallace

In The Washington Post, there is a new two minute hate against the Southern belle, which is now said to be a symbol of feminine white privilege and institutional racism in the South, and which must be eradicated from Southern college campuses in a new “social justice” crusade:

“If UGA and other Southern schools really want to lead, they will not only ban the hoop; they will also go after the belle. This will be tougher to do. It will mean discontinuing support for still-prevalent campus productions that promote imaginative connection with the Old South. And it will mean instituting new campus productions in their place. For their part, traditionally white Southern sororities serious about anti-racism will scrap the belle aesthetic and corresponding performances designed to measure it. They will develop new yardsticks for evaluating potential members that are less about looks and more about leadership. In short, they will confront the central role their choreography plays in reiterating race and class privilege. They will just say to hell with the belle.”

Even after eschewing the Southern belle aesthetic, the Alpha Phi sororiety at the University of Alabama is under fire by the mainstream media for being, well, feminine and “racially homogeneous.”

In the United States, it is mainstream and politically correct to “hate” the White South. Cultural genocide and bigotry is even fashionable so long as we are the target. Multiculturalism holds that all minority cultures and deviant lifestyles must be celebrated and accepted with the exception of the traditional culture of the White South. That is where the line is drawn.

  1. Now tell me again which side of the political spectrum is waging a war against women? …or at least beautiful white women.

  2. Okay so what? We know they hate beauty in every form. I like it when they’re open about thia stuff. We are open about hating their degeneracy. Let the lines be clearly drawn.

  3. Gone with the Wild, maybe ? That movie was also labelled as ‘racist’ after the Confederate Flag debate.

  4. These fools may get their wish but they won’t like it. While they may succeed in cleansing the public square of “old, rayciss White culture”, the new White culture that’s coming down the pike is going to resemble the opening scene in Gladiator.

    TFB….for them.

  5. Note: that article is by Pastor Chuck Baldwin- a Southernor who now lives in Montana. Imagine the effect this sermon must have had with a bunch of clueless Yankees! LOL

  6. The problem here as I see it is we are talking about STATE UNIVERSITIES. I believe the Secular University System in the USA was largely co-opted by Liberals even before Integration. Personally I am against education especially for White Females.

White Females of breeding age 14 and up should be married. I know some of y’all may call me crazy but let’s face it. Some young ladies can handle education, most cannot. The idea of EQUAL EDUCATION FOR EVERYONE is a Yankee leveling scheme. Before 1865 most Southern Girls of Wealth were educated in music, art and classics, stuff to make them cultured NOT for work. This was why after 1865 when the Southern Public School system came into being, hundreds of Yankee schoolmarms came South. There were simply not enough teachers for such a scheme in Dixie itself and wasn’t for a decade or two later.

CRIMSON TIDE, if she was around would want to kill me for what I just said. Hunter knows who I mean. I still love her though.

  7. Let’s work on the underwear showing first. That offends me on a lot of levels. Freedom of dress is being attacked. Shades of “Big Brother”.here. Maybe we should leave the Union again.

  8. The Southern Belle is beautiful and she requires no one’s permission to exist.

May all those who seek our cultural genocide rot in hell.

    • Amen! And I’m from Connecticut but very pro south and display the confederate flag here and love wearing my Remember General Lee and the confederate soldiers tshirt, though I get looks of hate, etc
