3. There is plenty of good news on immigration, but the ambitions of these reformers stop far short of White Nationalism. And please, no nonsense about “making the perfect the enemy of the good.” I am not rejecting any mainstream progress on immigration (as if my acceptance or rejection would matter to what is happening), just pointing out that it stops far short of where we want to go.

   There is a lot happening in the Tea Party. But it is not White Nationalism. Don’t abandon or defeat our purpose just to be “doing something.” I am reminded of the old joke about the man who lost his wallet in a dark alley but is looking for it under a streetlight because he can see there.

   While I think you paint with a broad brush, there are depressives in all kinds of politics, that Bob Whitaker has dubbed the All Is Losts (AIL).

   Their M.O. is demoralizing those around them, by repeatedly claiming civilization is collapsing into a Mad Max movie and the only way out is violent revolution, with a non existent army. Of course they are being practical and those who are getting out and doing their work for them, are being impractical.

   IMO these people should be publicly shamed, until they disappear or actually start doing something, that advances the interests of White people.

   I don’t hear this claim too often actually. Libertarian/survivalists hold to the notion, but instead of armies they speak of individuals, families, groups of families, or sometimes small towns in the hinterlands, banding together against the dispossessed zombie armies of the night.

6. In Greg Johnson’s formulation, “White Nationalism” is a rhetoric that is utterly detached from any practical strategy for changing the status quo. He refuses to translate “White Nationalism” into actual policy positions.

   When “White Nationalism” is translated into policy positions and specific pieces of legislation, a different picture emerges. The political mainstream is nowhere near as hostile to “White Nationalism” as Greg Johnson and other vanguardists make it out to be.

   (1) Immigration – In terms of immigration policy, almost everything that a “White Nationalist” could hope for can be pushed for within the mainstream: militarizing the border, building the fence, deporting illegals, cracking down on employers, criminalizing illegal immigration, cutting legal immigration, ending birthright citizenship, ect.

   (2) Israel – The biggest gripe that White Nationalists have about Israel is the sheer amount of foreign aid that we shower on the country. It is already possible to argue within the mainstream for slashing and capping the foreign aid budget.

   (3) Foreign Wars – It is well within the mainstream to argue against any proposed war with Iran or North Korea. It is mainstream to argue for pulling the troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

   (4) Gun Rights – It is perfectly legal and mainstream to argue in favor of preserving our right to own firearms.

   (5) Free Speech – It is perfectly mainstream to argue against hate speech legislation and censoring the internet. There is nothing stopping us from defending our First Amendment rights.

   (6) Crime – There is nothing stopping us from arguing for tougher criminal penalties for negro violent criminals. Racial disparities in violent crime statistics are now discussed in the Washington Post and New York Times.

   (7) Racial Differences in Intelligence – This taboo is slowing eroding in the mainstream. There is more discussion of the genetic basis of racial differences in intelligence than ever before.

   (8) Multiculturalism/Political Correctness – You can openly ridicule multiculturalism and political correctness within the mainstream. Specific policies like English Only and banning ethnic studies has been passed in several states.

   (9) Affirmative Action – It is mainstream to argue for dismantling affirmative action. Arizona just banned affirmative action. Several states have done so over the years.

   (10) White Birthrates/Family Values – Aside from immigration, the biggest threat to Whites in North America is the low birthrate. It is perfectly mainstream to argue against public policies like abortion that depress the White birthrate.

   (11) Trade – It is mainstream to argue against destructive free trade policies.

   (12) Racial Double Standards – It is now perfectly mainstream to call attention to racial double standards. Free Republic is flooded with dozens of such posts every day now.

   (13) White Identity – White Identity politics was never as taboo as White Nationalists have traditionally assumed. Twenty years ago, David Duke was nearly successful in his gubernatorial campaign in Louisiana. There is nothing from stopping explicitly White candidates in the Duke mold from running for elected office in the Deep South.

   (14) Monetary Policy – The Federal Reserve is attacked all the time in the mainstream.

   Everyone who participates in the political process (except for White Nationalists) understands that coming to terms with reality means moving the goal posts and pushing their agenda at the margins. Blacks understand this. Jews understand this. Hispanics understand this.

   Barack Obama is undoubtedly far more radical than he lets on. The difference between Obama and vanguardists is that he understands that his audience has to be gradually led from one position to another. He cloaks radical new ideas in the respectability of old ideas.

   Arizona and its imitators have shown the path forward. The idea that it is “premature” to engage in political activity does not hold up to close inspection.

It’s become abundantly clear that a “vanguardist” is any white nationalist that stands outside the narrow little paradigm that Hunter has constructed at OD.     While there are some encouraging signs in several states there is still a very long way to go and time isn’t exactly on our side. The conservative prescriptions of E-verify and checking citizenship status of illegals involved in crimes doesn’t exactly have them scurrying for the border. Then there is the very real possibility that anti-illegal provisions that do pass will get blocked and/or gutted by the cultural Marxists in the federal court system. An example is the anti-illegal statute passed by Hazelton, PA in 2006 that got tied up in the federal courts for four years before being struck down earlier this year in the third circuit court of appeals in Philadelphia.

    Moreover, radical groups like La Raza are telling illegal aliens to stand and fight because time is on their side. But if a popular conservative huffs and puffs in front of the television cameras or on the airwaves then Hunter gets a thrill up his leg and considers the battle already won.

    Well known establishment defectors like Paul Craig Roberts and Gerald Celente have been saying some of the very same things that so called vanguardists have been saying about the economy and elections yet their popularity continues to soar and outstrips anything experienced by Occidental Dissent.

Abbas presumably is being bought off to stay silent while the play unfolds and Hamas, which should be sitting at the table, has been excluded.

    That means that the congressmen in question, who actually took an oath to uphold the US Constitution, know that they are doing nothing but throwing yet another bone to Israel. The congressmen are Barney Franks of Massachusetts, Edolphus Towns of New York, Anthony Weiner also of New York, and Bill Pascrell of New Jersey. Mark their names well. Franks and Weiner are presumably acting due to tribal solidarity, but Pascrell and Towns are the straight men in the routine, brought along to make the Free Pollard movement appear to be less than a complete ethnically based sell out.

    Most of the power in the US government system resides in the permanent government of federal civil service, federal judiciary, media and academia. The elites of that permanent government are pro-race replacement , among other things. Elections that begin to change that state of affairs have to be more radical events than what has been the norm for the last 70+ years.

    There has always been a vocal subset of alienated White Nationalists who favor spurning White America, empowering our enemies, and withdrawing into small cults of purists to await “the collapse” of civilization. They have always been antagonists of practical White Nationalists who favor narrowing the gap and working within the system to achieve what is possible.

    This “narrow little paradigm” existed long before I had ever heard of White Nationalism.

    These ignorant hayseeds cannot see the superior wisdom of hiding out in a bunker, rejecting the political process, shunning moderates, failing to communicate, subscribing to conspiracy theories, waiting for “the collapse” of civilization, living in a fantasy world, navel gazing, insulting their audience, empowering our opposition, parading around in Nazi uniforms, and spending the majority of their time posting thousands of radical messages on online blogs and forums as an effective revolutionary political strategy.

    In the real world, which is to say the political process, no organized group gets everything it wants or wins every victory. The restrictionist side has the upper hand in the incoming Congress. The pro-amnesty forces have dramatically shrunk since their highwater mark in 2006. They are the ones who are on the ropes.

    It is a trademark of fantasism to set up the perfect, ultimate, sweeping victory as the enemy of small victories and incremental progress. No candidate imaginable except a Hitler on a White horse will ever suffice to satisfy these people.

17. There have always been people within the mainstream hammering away at these issues. Ron Paul, for example, has been a Congressman from Texas for years.

    His failed presidential campaign succeeded in drawing in tons of new people who were then funneled into new institutions like Campaign for Liberty and YAL. That set the stage for Rand Paul’s successful campaign for U.S. Senate in Kentucky. The greater Republican victory will now install Ron Paul as chairman of the Monetary Policy Subcommittee with oversight powers over the Federal Reserve.

    The respectability and legitimacy that comes from being an elected member of Congress played a huge role in spreading that “idear.” It enabled Paul’s “idears” to penetrate the mainstream. His presidential campaign and the books he wrote created the infrastructure (with its massive fundraising apparatus) that fueled Rand’s Senate campaign.

    What if Ron Paul had rejected the system? What if Paul had refused to become just another “system politician”? What if he had refused to work within the Republican Party? What if his failed attempt to audit the fed had convinced him to give up and quit Congress? What if Rand had refused to build coalitions with evangelical Christians in Kentucky?

    Well, he would be just another kook like Apollonian or Alex Linder ranting in impotence on the internet, not a major thorn in the side of Paul Krugman and Ben Bernanke. He might even be writing for Counter-Currents!

Few months back I was under the impression that Hunter Wallace and Greg Johnson were on the same camp fighting Alex Linder’s ‘vanguardist’ crowd. Am I missing something here?

27. If Linder had his way, he would lay waste to the whole WN movement except the VNN Tard Crusade. His watchword is polarization, the reduction of the political realm to two stark options.

    “Wallace” pointed out, quite correctly, that a healthy movement should have a spectrum of discursive spaces reaching from the mainstream to the most radical fringe, and that the vanguardists and mainstreamers could work together, profit from one another’s position, and move political discourse, resources, and individuals toward White Nationalism.

    I agree with that, and I still agree with that. “Wallace” is the one who has changed his views. Reality has not changed. But Wallace’s views are not rooted in reality, but in his aberrant psychology. Hunter does not have principles, he has poses which he adopts and discards for the purpose of making impressions on other people. He is a pathological narcissist and, because of that, he is a pathological liar.

    Unfortunately, his ego is also gratified by stirring up needless drama, polarization, and hate. This is why so many people who observe him long enough conclude that “Hunter Wallace” is a person with no credibility or character who needs to be shunned.

    Regardless of M.O., you can effectively cripple a movement and divert positive gains by being aggressively demoralizing or aggressively enthusiastic. Both can be used to lure people into a false sense of awareness. Both are emphatic in their need for a perfect enemy, and to create the perfect enemy when one does not exist. That “perfect enemy” can be a totally ambiguous entity, like Vanguardists, White Nationalists, Al-Qaeda, etc. What these entities actually represent is almost always blurred or distorted to some degree by those who need them to be as hostile and crazy as possible. That’s why those guys “hate our freedom,” and not the fact that our governments kill their women and children. That’s why pro-White people are “uneducated hicks who hate everyone that doesn’t look like them.” That’s why Vanguardists “hide out in bunkers, disconnected from the real world, ready to implement the next genocide”…….without these absolutes, people like Hunter would have to actually come up with something original to say, something of value, something that doesn’t rely on someone supporting him just because he says the other guy is crazier.

    Everything is black and white to them, everything is an absolute good vs bad; and in case it’s gone unnoticed, everything not in lock-step with Hunter’s pussified mantra is “Vanguardist.”……………..”You are either with us or with the terrorists.” That is Hunter’s entire practical approach in a nutshell, and a trait he shares with other egotists.

    Sybil(Hunter Wallace) is now a promoter of status quo politics, no matter how he tries to spin it. He claims victory for things that he had no influence or control over. He claims victory for things that were set in motion well before he opened his mouth. He claims victory for being a promoter of people that publicly voice their opposition to any kind of White identity(political or social). He claims victory for pointing out the lunatics in a “fringe” movement, then works overtime to create more lunatics. He claims victory for things that are essentially the equivalent of throwing a band-aid on a sucking chest wound.     Look at America’s bloodlines. Our genetic inheritance has been compromised over the years by people breeding down not up. Don’t believe me? Look at a high school yearbook from 30 years ago and compare it with people that live in the here and now and you’ll see a definite level of contamination. Compare a European, Australian or Canadian with an American and you see differences that didn’t exist a generation ago. There is also a startling lack of Nordics in the population and several phenotypes that are rare to see nowadays.
    America is broke and the money to keep paying entitlement programs is no longer there, money that’s used to pay Social Security, disability pensions, government pensions, military pensions and so forth. There’s a huge dependence by minorities, especially blacks, on government handouts and affirmative action which are absolutely critical for them to maintain their lower, middle and upper class structures and they aren’t going to give it up without a fight.
    America’s superpower days are numbered as we borrow money from the nations that we use to defend them, countries in Europe and Japan that now have higher standards of living than we do. It costs 600 billion a year to maintain a global presence and with the economic downturn it will be the first thing on the chopping block, including the useless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
    Most of America’s infrastructure is ageing and crumbling and there’s a lack of funds to repair roads, sewer systems, aquaducts, bridges, etc. Much of this infrastructure is located in minority majority metro areas and will only get worse as the tax base (Whites) shrinks or flees to more homogenous areas.
    What’s happening goes much deeper than what I’ve mentioned. There’s a spiritual and genetic corruption going on that can’t be remedied by voting in your favorite neoconservative politician. I don’t want to see America come to an end but I’m not that hopeful given the fact that the decline has been going nonstop for 50 years now and I don’t believe there’s any historical precedent for a nation to suddenly recover from such a decline.

32. Ron Paul was heavily mocked as a kook when he ran for president in the late 80’s. Initially, his message of libertarian economics was not well received by the general public or the media establishment and he was lampooned by loudmouth talk show host Morton Downey, Jr. on national television.

    Based on this early crash and burn did Ron Paul dress himself up as a conservative and champion of Reaganomics since that’s where “normal” people were in the late 1980’s? Nope. He continued to hammer away at prevailing economic wisdom, promote libertarian economic principles, and slowly win converts. It took him nearly 16-18 years to break through but he’s having the last laugh now.

    Even Ron Paul didn’t face the obstacles that bedevil WN. He was merely viewed as just an oddball in the early years. Conversely, pro-whites are routinely portrayed as the intellectual legacy of those that killed millions of Jews in WWII and hung millions (if not billions) of innocent negros in the post civil war South.*

    Vanguardists WN’s don’t have a monopoly on doomsaying. Far from it. Check out popular libertarian website lewrockwell.com and there’s daily articles addressing the runaway corruption of government, economic collapse, survivalism, disillusionment with system politicians and a few critiques of Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.

    When I said that a few months ago, I had in mind building a bridge from White Nationalism to mainstream conservatism, or narrowing the gap between White America and White Nationalists. I’ve only expanded on that theme and deepened my analysis since that time. The Tea Party is a great example of stepping stone across that chasm.

    Ever since you launched Counter Currents, you have been doing the exact opposite of this. Instead of building a bridge toward the mainstream, you are blazing a trail toward the fringes of society, and have doubled down on all the albatrosses that hinder our ability to communicate with ordinary people.

    I agree with that, and I still agree with that. “Wallace” is the one who has changed his views. Reality has not changed.

    Much has changed over the course of the past year. The Tea Party and Arizona have provided a new model which shows a lot of promise. We didn’t know a year ago that the GOP establishment was as vulnerable to a hostile takeover as it now looks with the benefit of hindsight.

    But Wallace’s views are not rooted in reality, but in his aberrant psychology. Hunter does not have principles, he has poses which he adopts and discards for the purpose of making impressions on other people.

    Could somebody explain to me in few sentences please why Hunter Wallace and Greg Johnson come across as representatives of two opposing camps.

    It goes back to Spring 2010. Johnson began to push the envelope as TOQ Editor with featured articles on Satanism, Hyperboreans from Atlantis, and positive reviews of HAC’s Northwest Quartet. He knew very well he was pushing into uncharted waters.

    Read the Kurtagic interview. Johnson describes how he was inhibited as TOQ Editor. He wasn’t able to attack Christianity or push vanguardism hard enough. Eventually, he lost his position there for that and many other reasons.

    After leaving TOQ behind, Johnson started Counter-Currents and went completely into anti-Americanism, vanguardism, avant-garde European neo-fascism, anti-Christianity and so forth.
