(1) Jews & the Holocaust. You are correct about 6 million Jews being “gassed”. About 5.7 Jews were murdered, the majority by simply shooting them. It’s not impossible to kill 40,000 men, women & children in a day, maybe two or three max. How do we know this? There is historical precedent, e.g., Mongol campaigns in the 12th & 13th Centuries. And they did not have automatic weapons.

Oddly enough, I went to college during an era when studying Russian History was not at all unusual. As you likely don’t know, after 1989-91 the area drifted into somewhat of a backwater only to be revived by Mr. Putin (for which I am grateful!). I got into some of the issues you cite about benevolence by Deniken & others when I decided to do some research on Vlasov, the Russian turncoat general. Without arguing about a very complex and likely decent man, I’m realistic about Russians. Antisemitism is deeply ingrained in their culture. Their fundamental “being” as it were. I often have disputes with other Jews, liberals and such when I point out that once you get East of Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, etc., accusations of antisemitism need to be judged by different standards.

With regard to areas Israel voluntarily returned to Egypt (the Sinai) I think you will learn Israel had no problem with foreign troops. Like any nation, Israel would regard foreign troops in its country as a breach of its national sovereignty.
If you will study the goals of groups like ISIL and al Qaeda you will probably be stunned to learn of Israel’s insignificance in their ideas and goals. The world of the PLO, Hamas, Fatah has changed and your focus on Israel is inapposite. You should not take offense at these statements but instead use them to educate yourself.
