Brazil’s Congress, unlike the US Senate, actually ratified the Paris agreement, making withdrawal less likely. Even so, Bolsonaro and his three eldest sons – all of them elected officials – regularly describe global warming as a fraud.

    He references Nietzsche’s false view that going with the tides of history is the supreme act of will and the supreme homage to the Creator.

    We, I hope, fight for mankind and mankind’s God; that no matter the “inevitable” in life, the supreme act of will is to defy the tides of history ; and to homage Truth, Order, and Righteousness (which when personified approximately is God), to homage God we say “thy will be done”.

    Thus from a place of despair that led to “evil be my good”, he is approaching “thy will be done”. Not bad.

      Apparently the procedure is very bad for the woman. It makes them very sick. Some have become infertile after it, and some got cancer and died. Only desperately poor women would subject themselves to that. Also the children produced from artificial fertilization, are weak compared to those conceived naturally.

      All that would come from Anglin’s usual attention seeking, is the majority of people would be outraged, and laws would be passed outlawing the practice.

      • Um, that’s known as surrogacy, and has been going on for a long time in many countries. There is essentially no difference between the condition of surrogate and non-surrogate children; “natural conception” has no magic effect. Sperm + egg = growing human, neither sperm nor egg cares how it got there as long as it has the proper environment to survive.

        There may be legal and in some cases psychological issues with the surrogate mother (ie getting attached to the baby and not wanting to give it up), but it’s a more or less routine procedure from a purely medical point of view by now.

        Anglin can be a divisive jackass, but there’s nothing particularly unusual in what he suggested, other than the usual exaggerated style in which he framed it.

  8. Brazil election is HUGE. Not just for Brazil, but for South America, the Americas and the whole world. It’d be a bigger setback to the Left than Trump if Bolsonaro won: because he is the real deal, and for him to be elected in a Third World, mixed race country like Brazil would prove how sick people are with corruption and leftist imperialism. Bolsonaro gets in and we may see a South American military coalition invading Venezuela to depose the commies on humanitarian grounds. Brazil is the USA of South America. It could and should be a world superpower. All bets are off if Bolsonaro gets in. If he doesn’t – well, inevitably the Left will f**k it up. Bolsonaro vs Haddad is a super polarized election.

    But now he stated that he plans to transform the Brazilian Northeast, with its bestial 80 IQ population – where he finished well behind in the election – in a new Israel.
