It’s fascinating to watch, and a little scary sometimes too…but oddly, this was much more the norm in the past, than the late 20th century “phony politics “ were. In the same way that Trump is a waste of political energy on the Right for disaffected older Americans, Fuentes is an even bigger waste of political energy on the Right for disaffected people his age, especially since they definitely do need someone to represent them, because not only will they have to live in a vastly different country (link), all indications are they will have a far more difficult time accumulating wealth than their parents and grandparents did.

    So while it’s easy to ridicule this circus, insofar as it affects or prevents the emergence of someone with real potential for political leadership, someone with gravitas, then it’s also unfortunate; a shame really.
