National Review: America Is Not Broken

I would say that Twitter is doing a pretty good job making the case for “brokenism.”

National Review:

“In early 2021, Tablet editor Alana Newhouse surveyed the American landscape and declared that “everything is broken.” Just before Thanksgiving this year, she returned to this theme as a way of articulating American political conflict.

Newhouse argues that the real political divide in contemporary America is not left vs. right but “status-quoist” vs. “brokenist.” …

If status-quoists believe in the fundamental soundness of the political compact, brokenism “revolves around the idea that institutions and even whole societies can and do decay.” For brokenists (Newhouse continues), “our current institutions, elites, intellectual and cultural life, and the quality of services that many of us depend on have been hollowed out. To them, the American establishment, rather than being a force of stability, is an obese and corrupted tangle of federal and corporate power threatening to suffocate the entire country.”  …”

What is Twitter except an obese and corrupted tangle of federal and corporate power (and NGO power) that was until fairly recently suffocating the voice of a third of the country?

In the last few days, we have learned that John Podesta’s niece was on the Twitter Trust & Safety board and that Fauci’s daughter worked for Twitter where accounts were banned and de-amplified en masse for spreading “COVID misinformation”. We have learned that censorship on Twitter was coordinated with the FBI and DHS. We have watched Elon Musk clash with the NGOs and progressive activists who had been empowered to censor Twitter by threatening to cut off corporate advertising on the platform. We have learned that Twitter was rigging the 2020 election against Trump by “de-amplifying” his account and that activist employees were purging his supporters. Excuses were made to get rid of Trump.

None of this is really news. I have been banned from Twitter for five years. I’m still banned even today. The Twitter Files have at least exposed what was going on inside Twitter and confirmed what we already knew was happening and have raised new questions about what is going on at YouTube and Facebook. It is exactly what it always appeared to be which is a rat’s nest of corruption and activism.

  1. The ‘neon Nazi’ Andrew Anglin is himself back on Twitter after an old account he created in 2013 was restored, as below. Anglin seems to be ‘moderating’ himself somewhat there.

Anglin speculates that they have been restoring accounts from the oldest, going slowly forward; he says that to him it seems everyone restored so far, is via accounts dating back nine years or more:

  3. >America Is Not Broken

You have to look at an etymological dictionary to find the true, original definition of nation arising from the etymology of the word itself:

nation (n.)c. 1300, nacioun, “a race of people, large group of people with common ancestry and language,” from Old French nacion “birth, rank; descendants, relatives; country, homeland” (12c.) and directly from Latin nationem (nominative natio) “birth, origin; breed, stock, kind, species; race of people, tribe,” …

Today the natural political expression of this original definition of nation is the modern nation state — there is simply no precedent in all of human social and evolutionary history for a multiracial nation, and therefore no reason to believe the multiracial nation states being forcibly created today by mass migration, largely against the will of the receiving nations (the founding peoples of the targeted nation states), can endure.

This is the essential background of the term anarcho-tyranny: it takes tyranny to control the anarchy arising as a consequence of the construction of these unnatural, unworkable, multiracial nation states.

So by this measure, America as a nation or modern nation state is certainly broken — but the neoliberal ruling elite will cling to their illusions, e.g. America as a ‘proposition nation’, in an attempt to escape culpability for the ‘breaking’ of America.

  6. >Are American institutions fundamentally broken?

Do you consider the GOP an ‘American institution’? — it’s definitely broken.

Twitter/Rand PaulFauci’s resignation should not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic. He must be required to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the Wuhan lab leak. His policies destroyed lives.

Uh-oh, a GOP politician is threatening to hold a hearing! — and not just any hearing, but one to conduct a ‘full-throated investigation’! — people may even be required to testify under oath! — man, that will be epic.

And according to Rand Paul, apparently unelected administrators in America have the power to concoct and enforce policies that ‘destroy lives’ — that doesn’t sound good — maybe he ought to hold a hearing about that too.

The GOP should change its name to the Nothing Burger Party™ — or maybe the Not Ready for Prime Time Politicians™.

    • The GOP can’t really do anything else except hold hearings with control of the House after losing all the Senate races in the midterms and dropping a seat to Fetterman.

      • Indeed.

In fact, one might say that the reason why they, the GOP, are in this position is because they wanted to be, or, in, other words – because they only want to hold hearings.

As to a genuine oversight, a principle function of the Senate, they long ago stopped doing this.

      • What did they do when Trump was president and they had full control of Congress 2017 – 2019?

        >Do you consider the GOP an ‘American institution’?

The answer is you should — at this point the GOP is an American institution.

You really shouldn’t defend them — not because there’s nothing to defend, but because there’s far too little to defend (I know you’re happy Republicans in AL banned ‘gender affirming care’, but that’s a minuscule problem) — any party that would put McCarthy and McConnell in charge of its legislative factions is not worth salvaging.

Watch the short video at the link — the GOP is complicit in importing this kind of low quality human capital to America, en masse — they are just as much to blame.

Another possible name for the GOP: the White Supremacy is Not Who We Are Party™.

        • Paul Ryan controlled the House.

          Mitch McConnell controlled the Senate.

Trump spent his first year in office trying to secure “wins” that could pass Congress with a narrow Senate majority. The priorities were repealing Obamacare and passing tax cuts because 1.) those were the two issues that all the various cucks in Congress were in agreement on and 2.) it was Paul Ryan’s agenda and he controlled the House and 3.) legislation could be passed on those issues through budget reconciliation which requires only 50 votes in the Senate. John McCain famously sunk the attempt to repeal Obamacare. The tax cut package passed in December 2017. Then Senate Republicans bungled their majority by getting Doug Jones elected to the Senate here in Alabama. Then Democrats won the House in the 2018 midterms. If memory serves, Senate Republicans essentially lost their majority when Doug Jones was sworn into office, which I believe was in January 2018. I wrote about it at the time and said that Trump’s legislative agenda was finished.

The GOP agenda in 2017-2018 reflected where the GOP was at in those years. Trump was essentially an island in the White House which was staffed by establishment Republicans who were opposed to his agenda. Congress was stacked and led by traditional establishment Republicans like Paul Ryan. The system isn’t designed to work the way you seem to think it does where one person gets elected to a single office like the presidency and everything magically changes overnight. The only way to push through real change in the system is to win multiple elections over the course of decades like the pro-life movement which succeeded in getting what it wanted when Roe was struck down. Trump won the 2016 election, but so did hundreds of other people in Congress who opposed his agenda from within his own party.

          • Trump won the 2016 election, but so did hundreds of other people in Congress who opposed his agenda from within his own party.

            LOL — I see — so is the GOP ‘broken’ or not — that’s a real head-scratcher.

The rest of it is just boring blah blah.

You are such a dork — and pretty dense too.

          • “The only way to push through real change in the system is to win multiple elections over the course of decades”

As if White people…your people…have that kind of time.

  7. I’ve stumbled upon another piece of evidence that America is indeed broken, contrary to what NR might say:

link@Penn university has removed @yoyoel’s PhD dissertation from their database.

So a faggot kike was allowed to matriculate at Penn, a university founded by Christians for the betterment of society and to further Christian principles, where he was also allowed to write a graduate thesis about the sexual practices of other faggots — how very interesting and worthwhile — so ‘progressive’ — this is something we must definitely tolerate.

America cannot be unbroken until 50% of academia is uprooted and, like JFK wanted to do to the CIA, smashed into a million pieces and scattered in the wind.

    • With your moniker, I think you’re in the wrong place — this isn’t a ‘North America for Whites’ type of website — it’s not a ‘Christian Nationalist’ website either (whatever that is) — what kind of website is it, you ask? — I’m not sure — stick around, read it, and decide for yourself — it’s easier to tell you what it isn’t than what it is, which is why I did that.

  8. For the Yankees, living in the sixteen Northern States that went to war against Dixie at the behest of Massachusetts, as well as their Pacific Rim colonies, “America® works just fine. So does “their government,” and their President, Joe Biden, who is the Northern People’s, and their West coast colonist’s, middle finger to the rest of America.

Yankeedom is a cancerous lesion on the American body politic, and until it’s excised, the patient will never recover. You can have Puritans and Jews, or you can have a republican form of government, and the liberty that it affords, but not both.

We live in the United States of New England. Under the Dictatorship of Massachusetts and her deputy, New York.

    End Reconstruction. End the War,

  9. There is very little faith in the institutions today that the public used to believe in. The intelligence agencies were created to fight the cold war and crime, not hassle the American people. The same with the medical professionals, look at the damage that creeps like Fauci have caused. They didn’t do it alone of course, they had the corporate media helping every step of the way.
