Donald Trump Ends Temporary Protected Status For Haitians

It is always nice to wake up to headlines like this.

New York Times:

“The Trump administration on Thursday cut protections for hundreds of thousands of Haitians in the United States, putting them on track to be targeted for deportation this summer, according to government documents and an official with the Department of Homeland Security.

The decision was signed this week by Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, and is the latest in President Trump’s sweeping crackdown on immigration, including people whom the Biden administration had authorized to remain in the country.

The Haitians affected by the decision had been living in the United States under Temporary Protected Status, which is intended to help people in the United States who cannot return safely and immediately to their countries because of a natural disaster or an armed conflict. More than 500,000 Haitians in the United States are eligible for the status.

Before he left office, President Joseph R. Biden Jr. had granted them an 18-month extension of their deportation protections. On Thursday, Ms. Noem revoked that extension — meaning those protections will now expire in August instead of next February. …”

What happened?

I was repeatedly assured by activists that Trump was lying and would never act on his campaign promises and that he would have the same immigration policy as Kamala Harris.

  1. ‘repeatedly assured by activists that Trump was lying and would never ac’

Defeatism is so good, it’s always an easy excuse to do nothing and let everything go to hell, then you’re proven right.

” see how smart I am, I said everything would go to hell and it did. I’m just so damn smart.”

  2. Is ‘activist’ really the right word ?
It seems that their defeatism is more the opposite, anti-activity, do nothing.

  3. Why are Germans voting for the far-right?

When Japanese or even Taiwanese say no to mass migration, nobody calls them far right. It’s only Westerners who are so concerned with such terms. For many East Asians, it’s just common sense to protect our own countries and ethnicities. Nothing racist or far right about it.

    • @Charlie,

American jews have begun to call the Japanese “racist and nativist” because of their reluctance to open their borders to the turd world. US jews do not like the example that Japan provides of what a culturally and racially homogenous society can be created without DIEversity.

      • @November,
“American Jews have begun to call the Japanese “racist and nativist” because of their reluctance to open their borders to the turd world.”

correction ALL Jews have begun to call the Japanese “racist and nativist”. it’s always ALL Jews that call everybody else “racist and nativist” because of their reluctance to open their borders to the turd world. (except Israel, of course)

    • “Far-right” is one of a raft of pejorative trigger words used by the media to leave the impression “these are the bad guys” in the unthinking viewer. This one is used to describe anyone who doesn’t support the hyper-progressive revolutionary agenda. The right hasn’t moved of course. The “far” part is just a measure of the distance the media has moved to the left.

Now that a “far-right” administration is reseting the scale, the legacy far-left media is looking more ridiculous than ever.

The word “racist” is another such word btw. Embrace your racism.

      • Walt,

Torah teaches, ‘by words you shall conquer’, which they avidly practice.

Words are powerful mind manipulators, controlling perceptions and decisions.

  4. Trust me….. there’s nothing “temporary” about them. Had Trump not stepped in, they’d still be in America in 2050 with five kids and twenty grandkids…. temporarily.
In this context, the word “temporary” has no meaning.
For these people, there will never be an ideal time to return home.
The wrong type of leader, too much rain, not enough rain, a crime problem, a shortage of housing, etc and again, they can’t return. They’re really taking the piss. Anyone with a brain cell or two should know this.
Having to return to a nation full of, well, their own people! How shocking. That isn’t violating their human rights. It’s where they came from.

  5. If Haiti doesn’t want their Haitians back, I propose we offer these Haitians some “X” amount of dollars to go back to Africa. Perhaps land, money, and jobs in Guinea, or Cote d’Ivorie or the Congo.

It could be the beginning, it could start a movement, a movement that is a long time coming, a movement of Jah people back to the homeland, a movement of Exodus.

  6. Yes! This is the one I’ve been waiting for! But it only removes half of the Haitians in the USA. There are about a million overall, 10% of Haiti’s 10 million people are here.
