Ed Gallrein's scripted 13-minute speech today was entirely about war and demanding everyone get behind Trump's wildly unpopular war with Iran.

There was nothing about healthcare, inflation, immigration, or anything else. He didn't take a single question from the media.… pic.twitter.com/MxSd5YPfos

Hegseth attacking Massie: President Trump does not need more people in Washington who are trying to make a point, especially from his own party. He needs people willing to help him win, to vote with him when it matters the most. And too often, Thomas Massie has acted like his job… pic.twitter.com/r021l2q993

If @RepThomasMassie loses tomorrow, the Republicans will become Israel's Party.
— Cenk Uygur (@cenkuygur) May 18, 2026
Republicans will give them as much of our money as possible and go to war for them whenever they ask. Israel will 100% control the GOP because every member will be scared to death of opposing them.
ICE and BP would have a budget of ZERO right if Massie had succeeded in killing the reconciliation bill as he tried desperately to do.

Zero.
A year ago, I identified as a “MAGA Republican.”
I wrote and delivered a speech defending the first several months of Trump’s second term.
In the span of the year, I have done a complete 180 degree heel turn in the opposite direction, not because I have changed my values, but because of what I have witnessed from Trump since last June. This guy campaigned on lowering inflation and gas prices. He has done the opposite. He campaigned on “no new wars.” He started the dumbest war yet in the Middle East. He campaigned on “mass deportations.” “Mass deportations” haven’t happened nearly a year after the Big Beautiful Bill was passed.
Trump fought against releasing the Epstein files. He said it would hurt his friends. He made sure that no one was prosecuted by Pam Bondi. She testified before Congress that it didn’t matter because “the DOW is over 50,000.” He conflates the stock market with the economy. He sells endorsements and pardons. He sells everything from hats to Bibles to fake phones to memecoins to rip off his supporters. He has continued the pattern of his first term of trying to destroy anyone in Congress who was worth a damn and replace them with pro-Israel sycophants who take millions of dollars from AIPAC.
The only reason why I don’t regret voting for him in 2024 is the possibility that he would have ran again in 2028 and dragged this shitshow out past 2032. He wants to leave behind garbage in Congress like Lindsey Graham, Maria Salazar and Ed Gallrein. It is at least almost over now. This is the last election cycle where he will be a political force to contend with. None of these people will carry on MAGA from here.
Even Vance has gone full sycophant over the Massie purge. Anyone who thought that maybe he could be trusted despite the Indian family needs to realize, there is no one in this administration that is actually “our guy.” Not Trump, not Vance, not Rubio, none of them. And certainly not DeSantis.
There won’t be any saviors on the ballot in 2028. I don’t blame anyone for just tearing up their voter card at this point.
