Tom Homan Admits ICE Arrests Have Dropped 12%

As recently as December, I expected “mass deportations” would happen in 2026. The Big Beautiful Bill had passed Congress in June which included $75 billion in ICE funding. I had expected a slow start in 2025 because the funding was only passed over the summer and it was understandable that it would take time to hire and train thousands of ICE agents and build out infrastructure. I also thought there would be pressure on the GOP to deliver “mass deportations” before the midterms.

I can’t get into the weeds on it because law enforcement sensitive who provide our targeting. Here’s where you, here’s where you may want to find somebody that won’t want to be found based on all kinds of database runs, so that slowed down tremendously, because they weren’t getting paid, so you know it’s numbers are down slightly, but and I know there’s a lot of noise out there about you shouldn’t be just concentrating on criminals, you ought to be arresting everybody, but we are, I don’t know why people don’t understand, just because you prioritize public safety threats doesn’t mean you arrest somebody else’s. If you’ve got a public safety threat here to anon, you know, a non public safety. He has to go first. That’s just common sense, he’s the biggest danger to community. I looked at the numbers just this morning. I look at numbers every morning. We’re about 62% criminal, 38% noncriminal. So let’s say 60-40, 60 criminal, 40 noncriminal. I think that’s a pretty good mix. Would 40% criminal and 60% noncriminal be better? No. So the numbers prove, the numbers prove within itself that we’re arresting noncriminals, and I say the first year number is a record, and we’re continuing to do on that record, but President Trump has committed: mass deportations and no amnesty. …”

It will suffice to say that I was completely wrong.

I was operating from the assumption that Trump and the GOP would be focused on winning the midterms. Politicians are normally motivated by self interest. Instead, the focus has been on making Venezuela the 51st state, regime change in Cuba, the White House ballroom, Trump’s Arch of Triumph, driving up inflation to 6%, shattering Joe Biden’s record on gas prices and war with Iran for Israel. Trump has also focused his attention on purging various enemies in the party (Thomas Massie, John Cornyn, Thom Tillis, Bill Cassidy) thereby freeing them to obstruct and even further narrow his razor thin majority.

Abandoning “mass deportations” seems to be part of Trump’s plan to commit political suicide. It has gotten so bad that he is underwater in in White rural America. There was a new poll out yesterday which showed Trump dropping to 31%. Gallup is reporting a ten point spread in party ID. Trump is dragging down the GOP so badly that JD Vance and Marco Rubio would lose in a landslide to Kamala Harris.

  4. As Senator from OK, Markwayne Mullin voted to continue welfare to Haitian invaders – even though Trump allegedly opposed this, even issued an EO to cut the payments off. Trump’s appointment of that complete retard shows that he’s either incompetent to remain in office and should be removed via the 25th amendment or he’s just a typical backstabbing member of the R-jersey team. The whole shift from actually doing something about the open borders to going off to fight wars for Israel has been political suicide for the R-jerseys.

Back to the interesting subject of important and destructive folks Hitler and crew totally failed to eliminate, consider the case of the most important founding father of today’s monstrous EUSSR – Count Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi.   10. Well I am one of the folks that is now a Democrat.

    As a Union worker for years I argued with other rank and file members about the goodness of economic protectionism and tariffs. ‘But all those long shoremen will lose their jobs!’

    Now Trump has so badly implemented tariffs and has been so poor on the economy that I have just thrown up my hands and Gone Blue!

    In fact I despise the Orange One so much that I started donating to my Unions PAC!

    I wonder how much losing small dollar donors (small business owner types) will hurt the MIGA Republicans this mid-term?

  11. The Republican Party, owned by oligarchs of all stripes but particularly The Usual Suspects, wants to drive wages down to zero or as close as they can to zero. Wages/benefits are the single biggest cost for most businessmen. Increasing the size of the labor pool decreases wages every, single, time, so it’s logical that businessmen are in favor of unlimited immigration. They couldn’t care less that the country their own children and grandchildren inherit will be a Third World shithole with their own children and grandchildren a hated, dispossessed, persecuted minority.

    They worship at the altar of Mammon, money is their Eucharist, the Republican Party their church. Their seminary is business school and at least for now, The Stable Genius is their prophet. Holy Scripture for them is the stock market with the carnival barkers on FOX TV and CNBC their preachers of the prosperity gospel. Sant Jared Kushner and Saint Howard Lutnick are the living embodiment of their doctrine of never stop being a scumbag while former Saint Jeffrey Epstein has been ex-communicated, his Last Rites being an arm across the windpipe till old Jeffrey went to his eternal reward.

    Things will continue to scrape along the bottom until the giant Ponzi scheme known as the American economy goes tits up, the stock market imitates the Titanic, bankruptcy looms for the great and the good and it’s time for another gigantic bailout for those well connected and Too Big To Fail (TBTF). They are also too big to jail for their various rackets, schemes, grifts and frauds that The Usual Suspects are the undisputed masters of and constitutes most of the U.S. financial system now. They have gone to the well too many times though so this time the TBTF scheme may have some unpleasant surprises for everyone involved.
