Richard Spencer, The Alt-Right, and President Trump

The Daily Caller is surprised to learn that our views have changed on the Republican Party:

“Prominent white nationalist Richard Spencer used to support a victory by Hillary Clinton and would possibly even support amnesty for illegal immigrants getting passed. This has all changed thanks to Donald Trump, and he can’t even bear the thought of a Trump impeachment or death.

Multiple sources close to Spencer told The Daily Caller that before the election Spencer supported a Clinton victory and amnesty getting passed. The idea of a connection between the man who created the term “alt-right” and Trump has been used to attack the president.

Spencer spoke to The Daily Caller Monday about his views on Trump.

“Oh absolutely,” Spencer said about support for a Clinton victory. “Before the election I was just kind of like, ‘stop wasting our time on Republicans, because they are useless, and we need to build up our own movement first.’ But the fact is, when something changes, like I have to change my own way of thinking, you know what I mean? If the world changes, you have to adjust to it.” …”

I remember the Spencer-Brimelow debate.

If Donald Trump had chosen not to run for president, the Alt-Right and White Nationalists would have likely been indifferent to the outcome of the election. Certainly, the Alt-Right would have never rallied behind the likes of ¡Jeb! or Marco Rubio. At best, there would have probably been a Mitt Romney or John McCain level of enthusiasm for the Republican nominee, but since President Trump ran a campaign based on many of the causes the Alt-Right had championed for years, which shocked us as much anyone else, we became his strongest supporters in both the primaries and the general election.

In 2011, I noticed President Trump’s potential as a rogue billionaire/outsider candidate, but I never gave any further thought to the subject after he declined to run in 2012:

“My opinion of The Donald is that he is a self promoting opportunist who has only seized upon the birth certificate issue in order to find common ground with Republican primary voters. This is someone who has made recent campaign contributions to Harry Reid and Rahm Emanuel.

However, that doesn’t mean The Donald isn’t becoming a rather useful egomaniac. In his quest to promote himself, Donald Trump has been driving Lawrence O’Donnell and Barack Obama nuts for weeks now.

Trump is a Gentile billionaire with the wealth and name recognition to be a dangerous loose cannon in Black Run America. He might become the Ross Perot of 2012.

The Donald can “go outlaw.” He isn’t a creature of the Republican establishment like Haley Barbour, Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, Mitch Daniels or any of the other empty suits in the Republican field.

Donald Trump isn’t a conservative or a racialist by any stretch of the imagination, but he is a tornado that can inflict a lot of damage upon the two-party system. …

Historically speaking, elites usually fall when one faction of the existing elite seizes upon a popular grievance which is used as a weapon to mobilize the masses against other elites, thereby weakening the whole system.

In the case of the BRA, a wealthy Gentile “going outlaw” has always been one of the biggest threats to the preservation of the racial status quo.

I don’t support or endorse Donald Trump.

Clearly, he is not one of us. The Donald has a transparent agenda of promoting himself at the expense of Barack Obama’s grip on the White House. He is motivated by vanity and ambition, but that isn’t really a bad thing, considering.

In promoting himself, Trump is giving air cover to lots of White people who are seething with anger and who aren’t as far along the curve as we are. This latest controversy about Barack Obama’s grades is a welcome development that no racialist could seriously object to.

If Donald Trump gives Chris Matthews a heart attack over “racism” (his latest funny is that Obama should quit playing basketball and lower gas prices), he can claim to be doing something right. I hope Trump continues to make himself a nuisance to our overlords. I hope he does as much damage to them as possible in the course of his presidential campaign.

Go outlaw, Donald. …”

I very cynical at the time, but I urged Donald Trump to run for president as an “outlaw conservative.” In my wildest dreams, I never thought he would actually do it.

Needless to say, we became President Trump’s biggest fans after he launched his campaign and we got the chance to learn more about him at his rallies. We found out that the Lügenpresse had misrepresented his motivations. I went from thinking of President Trump as a “self promoting opportunist” and “a rather useful egomaniac” to an example of Carlyle’s Great Man.

He totally went outlaw. The rest is history.

  1. We’ve already seen Tom Cotton come around. I hope and pray for a total takeover of the GOP by Trumpian populist nationalists. The AltRight might end up as mainstream at this rate. That should send all the part-time citizens fleeing to Tel Aviv!

      • Still scratching my head over this, and always will. It’s like few even bothered to look at it, even with all the controversy.

It was a glaringly sloppy, obviously pieced together image. With all the layers right there to scroll through and see.

        • The most glaringly obvious truths are as a rule the most often overlooked. At least by the white race, it seems.

  2. “Donald Trump isn’t a conservative or a racialist by any stretch of the imagination, but he is a tornado that can inflict a lot of damage upon the two-party system. …”

This is why I voted for him.

    • Trump is also another thing very important.

He’s a White combat veteran of the racial chaos, immigration chaos of New York City late 1980s, early 1990s. Those of us who lived through this and survived understand racial realities.

Donald Trump took out a full page advert (I’m pretty sure) demanding the death penalty for the Central Park Wilding attack gang rapists of the Central Park Jogger. I wrote a lot of letters to the editor, later took out full page adverts of similar themes when I moved back to Tennessee.

So Donald Trump is like Jean Marie Le Pen, father of Marine Le Pen and founder of the French National Front. Jean Marie Le Pen was a paratroop combat veteran of the brutal race/culture war in French Algeria in the 1950s. Donald Trump and I are veterans of the brutal race/immigration/culture wars in New York City mid 1980s to early 90s.

Donald Trump does do photo ops being buddy, buddy with Rev. (not) Al Sharpton. George W Bush and Rand Paul do this all the top.

  3. “….elites usually fall when one faction of the existing elite seizes upon a popular grievance which is used as a weapon to mobilize the masses against other elites, thereby weakening the whole system.”

This is exactly what has happened and explains why our betters, left and right, hate Trump so much.
