Rural America is becoming hyper-NIMBY. That's fine. It's their community and their choice. But if that's the choice, then everyone else is allowed reassess whether continuing to provide very large subsidies to these same rural areas is good public policy.

This is a great campaign ad.
It is a real window into how the GOP sees the young White men who voted for them in the 2024 election. The problem isn’t that the job market is historically bad. It isn’t that healthcare and education are unaffordable. It isn’t that the price of everything – gasoline, burritos, used cars, new cars, anything transported by diesel, etc. – is soaring because of the war with Iran for Israel.
Young White men just need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. They are lazy. They are sitting at home playing video games all day. They are leaching off the taxpayer. Those tax dollars need to go toward our $1.5 trillion military budget which we need to blow up more shit in the Middle East.

Baby Boomer Socialism is the only real domestic policy of the Republican Party. Hilariously, it is Baby Boomers who stood to win the most from AI, if only AI were not a Trump scam. The sales pitch was it would allow stocks and pensions to side step the demographic consequences of Boomerism as they lounge about in their 3,000 sq foot homes all day. Fortunately, AI is a Trump scam just like Trump University and Trump Steaks, and the Boomers inexplicably hate it anyway.
