Has anyone faced more converging catastrophes on more fronts?
As things stand today, it looks like we are headed for my first big miss in my 2022 forecast. I didn’t think this Ukraine situation was going to pop off. It now looks like a much more realistic possibility. Joe is going to be lucky if it is only Russia invading Ukraine and not China moving on Taiwan too.
Note: I did include this scenario as a moderate possibility in my 2022 hedges. I also assumed that I would get at least one thing wrong.
To paraphrase Uncle Joe: It doesn’t matter who votes. What matters is who counts the votes.
