History will remember this era of dinosour politicians and their elderly venality in a very bad way. A sad ignominious end to the Worst Generation in American history.
Good riddance to bad trash.
Already that stupid Black Republican, Daniel Cameron, has put his hat in the ring to replace McConnel. A noted Confederate hater, he was pushed by the GOPe as part of their Black Republican shtick, a kind of paleo-Black Platinum, and became AG of Kentucky. Then after kissing Trump’s butt to get the endorsement, he lost to current Gov Beshear in the Governor’s race.
Kentucky is overwhelmingly conservative. But, the KYGOP is ridiculously controlled by donors circling McConnel and a certain Kentucky Congressman known as the King of Pork. Together those two gutted what should be one of the most conservative, populistic, nationalistic, White conscious states in the Union. Instead its a typical ruby red backwater.
These super Conservative places often end up being turned into political racketeer dominated states. Once they got the talking points down, got the media to silence real issues, and get control of the political consulting game, they can run circles around the isolates people. In turn, they influene the patriotic voices into zombie like stasis.
As a result such states have a totally pathetic uber establishment walking Reagan zombie State GOP party. Kentucky is no different. It has one of the worse Republican grass roots organizations of any state. So, this Black American loser, Daniel Cameron, could likely win the nomination in almost all White Kentucky. Kentucky is the kind of State that need an anema to unblock and free White American power.
AGB, ….. that sounds far more harsh than what you would typically write about Southerners ( the general people…. not the leaders). Although I know we are far from perfect and need to be called out sometimes. But don’t you agree we have a little more going on down here as a people than what you just wrote ? 😀
Best case we could have hoped for here in Ky. This gives us some time for a proper primary and keeps the governor, who is a total dork, from appointing somebody.
