I’m late to this.
I’ve been a bit overwhelmed this week adjusting to my newly enlarged family.
The CofCC tracked thousands of black-on-White murders like this over the past twenty years. National Conservative still maintains the most comprehensive list of interracial homicides. There is nothing new about impulsive young black men like Karmelo Anthony committing murder and the media waving it away and sweeping it under the rug as another “senseless tragedy.” There is nothing new about grieving White parents trying to downplay the racial angle to these crimes either. Aiden Clark’s father said he wished his son had been “killed by a 60-year-old white man” instead of a Haitian immigrant.

There is nothing new about the black community rallying around black murderers. Everyone knew O.J. Simpson murdered his ex-wife. He was acquitted anyway to stick it to the White man.

What is new here with the murder of Austin Metcalf is how the taboo on discussing black-on-White crime has dissolved on the mainstream Right. Ben Shapiro called for Trump to pardon Derek Chauvin last month. It was only five years ago that Matt Walsh was defending Ahmaud Arbery and calling the McMichaels murderers on Twitter. Now, he is basically doing Amren-style race realism.
I’ve been around long enough to remember when John Derbyshire was fired by National Review and treated as a pariah by Con, Inc. for publishing The Talk: The Non-Black Version at Takimag. I correctly noted at the time that dissident websites like OD, CofCC, SBPDL, VDARE, Amren, Alt Right, Takimag were willing to do the work that mainstream conservatism was unwilling to do.
The culture shifted between 2019 and 2025. It is a different world now. Black people lost their halo.

Good question. As Vox Day notes, Metcalf’s father does not worship Christ, but Satan. No different than a charter member of Satan’s Synagogue like Ben Shapiro at the end of the day, regardless of how pure his white bloodline might be.

Yes, it is truly a positive step in the right direction that people like Matt Walsh, with a sizable audience, are shining the light on black violence. Kudos!
However, I notice that Walsh still shies away from “white nationalists”. (As in, “there’s no evidence that Metcalf was a white supremacist or a white nationalist” in reference to the self defense claim that the killer is using.)
My question to Matt Walsh is, what if there WAS evidence that Metcalf held white supremacist views? What if they found a copy of Mein Kamp under his mattress at home? Given the almost certain fact that young Metcalf wasn’t wearing a Klan robe when he told the killer to move (or asked, I wasn’t there) Given the likelihood that no racial slurs were being spoken by Metcalf (and even if they were, I’ll get to that in a minute), how does this justify pulling a knife and stabbing someone?
Are we to afford the killer some kind of faith that he has the power to read someone’s mind? That there is no imperative for him to maintain a level of self control?
Now, I’ll concede that if Metcalf had shown up to the tent wearing a klan robe and holding a rope in his hand, that the black man could make a convincing claim of actual fear for his life and self defense. But we are a far cry from that when a demand is made of someone, even if there are “racist” motives behind the demand. The killer could have simply refused to get up. He could have questioned “why?” And if it escalated to a legitimate physical aggression on the part of Metcalf, regardless of racial motives, then self defense is justifiable. But even then, the facts must be weighed in a court of law, and there are gray areas when it comes to being physically threatened and the reasonable proportionality of the defensive response. To be sure, in a 2nd amendment supporter, but I don’t believe in shooting someone who you only perceive as a threat, until an actual threatening move is made, and that move probably ought to involve a weapon being drawn.
All that being said, Walsh needs to stop making that distinction or couching his words to dehumanize someone for having unpopular opinions, and by doing so, lending legitimacy to impulsively killing someone because they have “bad thoughts”.
Until mainstream guys like Walsh AT THE VERY LEAST openly acknowledge that unpopular beliefs are defensible and protected by law (beliefs for which accusations always seem to be leveled at white people but never anyone else IE black supremacists) and that they are not justification for murder, then we still have a long way to go.
The most important thing to note about this murder is that blacks do not care what Matt Walsh or Shapiro or any of us think. They’ve said very little since Trump was re-elected, they’re not even showing up at protests.
Metcalf grabbed the black and tried to physically remove the black from the seat before he was stabbed. Comments are that “white boys think they can do what they want now that Trump is in office”. Whether that is true or not, the father saying no one should be racist suggests he knows more about his son than what has been published.
Even if Metcalf was a racialist there was no excuse to stab him. He also should not have tried to remove the boy. Stupid thing to do in this environment, while blacks are laying in wait for a recordable “FAFO” moment.
Yet more proof that the races should live separately.
