Politico: Behind the GOP Convention: An Immigration Fight

As recently as last December, I personally thought we would get the mass deportations. The Big Beautiful Bill had passed Congress. We were heading into an election year. I thought there would be immense political pressure to get the number of deportations up to excite the base.

Politico:

“When President Donald Trump takes the stage in Dallas at the GOP midterm convention, he’s expected to tout record immigration arrests by immigration agents and a border that’s been hardened — all of which he’ll say has driven down violent crime.

What he almost certainly won’t do is reprise a campaign of mass deportations of the sort he rode to a second-term victory.

The shift from two years ago is likely to infuriate hardline immigration activists already livid over their feeling that the administration hasn’t lived up to its campaign promises. But it also is an acknowledgment that the politics of immigration are far thornier for Trump than they were at the 2024 convention when “MASS DEPORTATION NOW” signs filled the room. The change is due, in large part, to the killings in Minneapolis and Maine, third-country removals, and the arrests of thousands of long-term immigrants who have not committed violent crimes. …”

It was inconceivable to me that the GOP would be running in the midterms on gas being $4.39 a gallon in Michigan, $4.59 in Pennsylvania, $4.29 in Ohio, etc. I didn’t think Trump would go to war with Iran for Israel. I didn’t think Trump would be posting on Labor Day about renaming New Mexico.

The pale ones want you dead most of all – the Newsomes, Buttgeigs, etc. J-Street owns them at least as much as AIPAC owns the R-jersey clown-show. At least we hear some complaining about AIPAC controlling the R-jerseys (never used to). When’s the last time anyone complained about J-Street, Soros, et al owning the D-jerseys. Stay home. It’s all a rigged Kabuki performance anyway. Koba’s Iron Law of elections applies:

    All sorts of massive industrial-scale electoral fraud has been exposed in the last several months. Nobody has gone to jail (expect a couple of small-fries) and none of the machines have been shut down. Donigula meekly rolls over everytime some foreign-born blackrobed retard pulls another judicial decree out of their ass.

  2. Gas in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio all in the high $3s. I went through there today.

    Diesel remains high. I paid $5.41 in Kentucky. The last 9 fuelups I paid over $5 for diesel. Today was the highest.

    Of course, if you buy at Loves or Chevron you pay a lot mote for the same product.

    As to “record prices for diesel”, everything is at “record prices” due to inflation, which has been at 9 or 10 percent for years now. Not zog figures, but the actual figures.

  5. Listen Chudley Wallace, it won’t be a mistake. Your induction papers will arrive. Sooner, rather than later. If the Democrats win, your platoon will be run by N@ggers and you will fight to liberate phags in Tehran and will likely have your @ss handed to you. If the Republicans win, your platoon will be run by Americans and you will fight to liberate cheap oil, and slightly greater than 50/50 chance of having handing the Iranians’ their @ss to them.   6. Without regime change, deportations are pretty pointless. As long as regime stands, all Trump reforms will be reversed after he leaves.
