SPLC Embraces Planned Parenthood

By Hunter Wallace

For the record, I consider it a badge of honor to be labeled an “extremist” by a group which embraces Planned Parenthood:

“The group behind the recent spate of undercover videos accusing Planned Parenthood of illegally selling “body parts from aborted fetuses” is tightly linked to some of the country’s hardest-line anti-abortion extremists.

The founder of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), which disingenuously describes itself as a “group of citizen journalists,” is David Daleiden, who was previously the director of research for Live Action News, a group that produced earlier undercover videos also seeking to embarrass Planned Parenthood. …”

No, the real “extremists” are those who support butchering babies and selling their body parts on the free market like one would pick up a sirloin or a ribeye at the grocery store.

  1. The PP issue, I think people are making it way too complicated.

Keep the funding to PP for non-aborticide/abortifacient services, prosecute the baby parts sellers.

    See how simple that was?

Instead, we can’t get that simplicity out of our modern politics, because on one side we have an absolutist fanatic left for whom aborticide is a holy sacrament, and on the other side, we have disingenuous vote grifters who want the veneer and appearance of fighting for a conservative social issue to harvest votes every two years, all the while never doing anything substantial.

My proposal is not amenable to either side.

But what it does comfortably do is address the moral turpitude of what the videos show, all the while keeping PP open for business in bell curve city, reconciling my own mixed mind about PP.

  2. I don’t consider abortion good, but I don’t have a better answer for what to do. America won’t roll back the clock on dysfunctionality, and its not going to go away on its own either.

I do support kicking the decision back to the states however.

  3. No matter what happens to PP or the abortion controversy in general, birth control implants, IUD’s, and sterilizations should definitely be subsidized. We should even use affirmative action.
