According to the media, there is something called “Right Populism” which is completely distinct from something called “Left Populism.” There is also something out there called “conservative-populism.” Plain old fashioned populism doesn’t exist anymore … except it does.

Forcing the GOP to change their horrible economic agenda will help them though and probably backfire on Democrats. More working class Independents and Democrats will come into the party, reinforce the growing populist wing and we will back in a Populist vs. Progressive alignment.

I agree that this coalition could happen, which would be an historical watershed moment.
That said, for it to happen, The Progressives are going to have to back off their social designs, and, frankly, I have a hard time seeing them do this.
They are emotionally addicted to a megalomaniacal rebellion against tradition, Mother Nature, Whites, and, indeed, God, and, that so, learning to desist from such would be like a chain smoker giving the nails up, and staying off them.
That might happen, more likely, however, that it won’t.
The US is a failed lab experiment.
