A scary, hairy looking old White guy named “Cobb” has invaded a small North Dakota town and proceeded to dress, act in same old, same old negative evil Nazi ways. One might think Mr. Cobb was reading from a Hollywood script or taking orders from the FBI/SPLC/ADL:

Yeah, maybe this Cobb guy is a Hal Turner Fed informant/actor, but I doubt it – more likely some old loon that actually enjoyed this 15 minutes of fame. The WN movement attracts a lot of these types – in past days, these types could run off and join the circus. Oh well.

State governments are White, as are most municipal and county governments. The courts on all levels are still predominantly White. A clear majority of the voters in this county are White, and the majority of the tax-payers are White. A majority of corporation CEOs and board members are White, and there are even enough Whites in positions of power throughout the media to counter Jewish influence. Finally, there are more wealthy Whites than Jews or other ethnic groups. All of our enemies would point out that this nothing more nor less than White Power!
The fact is that there are more than enough White voters, Whites in positions of governmental and police power, and White financial muscle to ship out every single Jew, Negro Asian, Latino , and other non-White on the next boat! But instead, every one of these elements of White Power encourage the immigration of still more non-Whites in the country and disenfranchise their own White brethren-either by direct power (government, police and financial) or seeming indifference (voters). The situation we have today is a direct consequence of 200+ years of White Power. How the Jews and non-Whites must howl with laughter when they hear us shout “White Power”. You want it? You got it! At the rate that White Power is exuberantly staffing the government, courts, bureaucracies, and police with non-Whites, it won’t be long before we see an end to White Power.
Perhaps this will be for the better. Perhaps then a few more Whites will begin to reconsider their position. We definitely have White Power, but why does it serve only to destroy us? The answer was pointed out by AH: “As soon as egoism become the ruler of a Folk, the bands of order are loosened, and in the chase after their own happiness men fall from heaven into a real hell.” Egoism is self-absorption. Today, most White are very self-absorbed, not only with financial accumulation, but even more with societal position or image.
In this state of egoism, they can be easily manipulated and controlled by simple compliments or ego-strokes to their position, authority, identity, status, education, or intelligence. It’s that simple, and it works! This, not to mention a salary in the five or six figure bracket, is how university administrators, instructors, and students are so easily manipulated into ratifying, embracing and further preaching virtually every nonsensical decree of political correctness as a new State Religion!. They go on to initiate the doctrines of this State Religion not all the different governmental, judicial, corporate, media and educational positions of power to which they gravitate. That’s White Power.
The working class is just as susceptible. They are self-absorbed with their own status and intelligence, and, responding to ego-stimulation by television and motion picture media personalities, they too feel the gratification of the politically correct thinking of the new State Religion – not to mention social security, health insurance and retirement! That’s White Power. The great majority of Whites are far too self absorbed to consider the effect of all this political correctness on the future of their children. Most are far too self-absorbed to worry about the welfare of their children, let alone their Folk or arena are being denigrated by self-styled racial writers and leaders who have never made any comparable contributions to the struggle. This, too, is White Power.
Egoism in the White racial movement is not confined to the leadership. Virtually overnight, a handful of “Hollywood Nazis” destroyed years of careful, successful work which we had done to demolish media distortions and show the residents of a small California county the nature of true White folk community. Almost as soon as they arrived, these “neo-nazis” wiped out everything we had accomplished with pointless flag burnings, intimidations, threats, violence (against Aryan women!), and, of course, parading around in their childish “White Power” tee shirts.
These media-scripted, un-Aryan “neo-Nazi” activities were not even aimed at non-Whites, Jews, or left-wing activists. There are few non-whites in that county, and none in the affected town. These childish antics were all directed at Whites, most of whom had no interests at all in urban racial problems. Any observer could see that everything done was to gratify fragile egos. Now, a whole county will never again be receptive to any message of White Nationalism. That’s White Power.
To survive, we must begin right now to build a solid foundation of Folk-consciousness, first within our own lives, then educating others who are already racially aware, and finally offering it to those who become disillusioned by self-aggrandizement and egoism. We should replace that inappropriate, embarrassing slogan of “White Power” with one word which carries the connotations of a new consciousness for our Folk communities.
This article will be damned by the knee jerk Cobbites, but it speaks the truth to idiocy. If we are going to make any progress, we must have a plan and discipline. People like Cobb are a handicap to our cause because they just want to be s**t disturbers who want to make a lot of noise, but have no real discipline to carry out a plan to achieve a concrete goal.

If Cobb is an asset, I think the reason is that the North Dakota oil boom is making wages and salaries in non-oil industries “too high.” Time to run one of these hoosier “white supremacists” up the flagpole as a run-up to bitching about ND not being vibrant enough. The more likely explanation, though, is the one advanced by Jack Ryan here, that he’s one of our nuts seeking out his fifteen.
I was suspicious of Cobb after he caused a reaction. You don’t see Chuck Baldwin and Richard Spencer causing reactions where they’ve moved to in Montana.
I liked Cobb’s idea of setting up a park with heroes and such in it, but you can’t expect Americans to be won over by WWII German heroes. If you like certain values, for instance NS say NS cares for the poor, you can find it in America or elsewhere in Europe, even Germany at different times. Hermann is a leader all should revere.
A non-WN friend wrote an article a few years ago saying white nationalists should move to North Dakota. Maybe Cobb read the article. In theory it is an ideal location.
It’s so late in the game though, who knows what approach is best. I haven’t been following exactly what Cobb has done, but he could ultimately have a positive impact. You never know. The craziest things tend to happen with politics.

I have not followed Craig Cobb’s career, so I don’t know where he falls on the spectrum between being a good but misguided man or a loathsome kook like so many in the movement, but his recent actions definitely show a pattern of bad judgment.
I do know, however, that he is part of the “Old Right” scene as I have defined it. The whole point of my “New Right vs. Old Right” article, my “no kooks” policy suggested in “On Violence,” and my critique of “Premature Populism” is to draw a bright line between me and the Craig Cobbs, Alex Linders, etc. of the world. They’re Old Right, and I am over that, because I don’t think it is the way forward.

We’d just finished the David Duke Senate and Governor campaigns, which had attracted a majority of White voters in Louisiana (with what the media dubbed “Elvis” campaign rallies all over the state) and inspired our people all over the world, despite massive, panicky opposition from our enemies. Finally, there was hope!
And Stormfront published its first slick, printed magazine, with its newfangled Internet email address. Not that anybody had ever heard of the Internet at that point, but I was optimistic we’d soon have our own media.

His dedication here the first few years made him beloved. Moderators were later reluctant to remoderate or ban him, even after he started taking sneaky potshots at Stormfront on other boards.
One comment I always remembered and laughed about, though, came from our late co-admin in 2004. He had met Cobb earlier in person. I searched through old threads in the moderators forum to make sure I got it right.

The full time American WN “movement” is simply disfunctional – anybody that gets a bit “famous” through open 24/7 American WN “movement” flames out or goes kook. Look at Matt Hale, Derrick Black, Covington’s porn star body builder.
The key is to work locally for legitimate White issues but “be” something else besides a 24/7 American WN movement figure, leader/kook.
Be a biker who organizes local White bikers. Be a “southerner’ who organizes and leads White Southerners. Be a Missouri Synod White Lutheran who leads local Lutherans – finesse the racial issue just a bit.
Be your best, be anything besides being a 24/7 American WN “movement” figure. If you see anyone on ZOG/MSM TV presented as a “White Nationalist Movement” leader, hit the remote.
Better yet, kill the TV entirely.

That depends on what you mean by “mainstreaming.” Most of us have moved beyond the naive belief that we can piggyback off conservatism or the Tea Party. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t or shouldn’t make a concerted effort to move the Overton Window in our direction. This isn’t “mainstreaming” so much as it is “becoming the mainstream.” Don’t think we’re not capable of doing this, or that it’s something we shouldn’t even do it at all. The mission is to save our race, right? How can we do that when something like 90% of Whites in North America think we’re deranged, genocidal lunatics? I’m not saying we need the explicit support of the majority of White people. But we probably need at least 33%. I doubt the ‘Murikan Revolution would have gotten off the ground without the 33% support it had from the citizenry. 33% of 200 million non-Hispanic Whites in the USA is almost 70 million. There’s your core base of a potential future ethnostate, assuming that’s the end goal anyway.
I know there are those in the movement who think that reaching out to our racial kinsmen is “WN 1.0,” but where’s the evidence that our fellow Whites will “wake up” on their own accord? The much prophesied “collapse” won’t change anything unless we are there to seize the moment. It’s a game of give and take: we must show them the door, and they must choose to walk through it. They won’t find the door on their own.

Dan, you are right, of course. We need to move the mainstream in our direction. But given how few there are of us and how scarce our resources are, how much of them should be we spending criticizing the approaches of others, and gloating about their failures — as opposed to doing something effective to advance our cause? Especially because the former activity just creates bad blood among people who should be working together.
I differ from people like Cobb on important matters of tactics, but on the most important questions, the New Right and Old Right share the same values, the same sense of danger, and the same basic goal, white racial preservation. He’s a loyal Aryan, albeit one with bad judgment. But in the end, his loyalty should matter more. It might even command a little loyalty in return, not this ugly gloating and douchebag posturing.

For one thing, there is no evidence whatsoever that Cobb is an “Aryan” (whatever the hell that means) but there is a DNA test on record that casts at least some doubt that he is even fully white. True, the DNA test is a questionable one, but until Cobb has submitted to at least three NEW tests, supported by DNA corroboration proving his Caucasian ancestry, he cannot justifiably call himself white – nor can anyone ELSE.
True, he does not look negroid in the least. On the other hand, he could very well have Semitic DNA coursing through his veins and IF he does, and his new DNA tests indicate that, then Cobb would, from then on, be a bonafied JEW. Personally, I believe this possibility is far more likely than his being 14% negroid. Either way, Cobb has more than an even chance of turning up as a non-white so this careless and uncalled for use of the silly term “Aryan” is unfounded. The onus is now on Cobb to PROVE he’s white, and until he does his racial status will remain in limbo.

Agreed. That’s why I’ve got nothing to say about Cobb. Besides, as Scott Terry said, what’s the use in one group of dorks calling out an even dorkier group of dorks for being dorks? We’re all dorks here. That’s how mainstream society views us. Calling out the dorkier dorks doesn’t make us look any less dorky.
My point is this: While there are right and wrong ways to attempt to become the new mainstream, the goal of becoming the new mainstream shouldn’t be in dispute. Moreover, “mainstreaming” does not mean “becoming conservatives.” Nor does it mean becoming populists. I agree with your critiques of conservatism, the Tea Party, and premature populism. But there seems to be an ongoing dispute within WN, particularly the vanguard, as to whether “mainstreaming” is a worthwhile goal in its own right. That’s irritating.
